Critters & Cogs Preview Day 1

Good Morning All

Yay I'm back to doing some crafting which I'm so pleased about as I really didn't want to miss the previews for the exciting new release of Critters & Cogs from Pollycraft.

The whole set will be released on Monday 5th April, but we thought we'd tease you for a few days with some preview days in the run up to the release date.  For the next 4 days Paula and the DT will be previewing 3 images a day and everyday ONE lucky winner could win all 3 imagesthat are previewed on that day.  To check out all 3 images for today and to see all the DT works using the images then you need to space-hop over to Tales from Pollycraft and it's there that you can enter the daily prize draws.

Here is my preview card for you today...

I've managed to get 2 of todays preview images on my card, these two lovely fella's are called Zoom and Monster Party.  The sentiment is part of a clear stamp set also to be released alongside the images on Monday.

A quick update on my shoulder, recovery seems to be doing well and as you can see it's no longer preventing me from doing some crafting, but I am taking it easy.  I have a good 75% of movement back, but this last bit is probably gonna take the longest to ease, which is the initital injury/strain to the tendons.  I go back to the docotors next week where she will assess how well it's doing and to determine whether I'll be needing some physio to help it along.  So until then I'm keeping up the resting and gentle exercises and throwing in a little crafting too, I class that as gentle exercise too....lol.  Thank you for all your well wishes.

Firstly thank you to everyone for all your well wishes.  My shoulder is improving by the day, things are much more comfortable, still a bit limited on the movement side but getting there!!

Totally Papercrafts Challenge #9

Good Morning Everyone!!

Firstly I must apologise for not being able to comment on any of your entries for our challenge last week using my sketch.  I have for the past week been in absolute agony with my shoulder and arm, which has left it with very little movement especially for the last 4 days or so.  Anyway the doctor has said I have a shoulder impingement and I'm now being treated with stronger meds, and have to balance rest and gentle exercises to hopefully aid the recovery. Due to this I've not been able to do any crafting :( or too much typing on the computer as I can only use my left hand at present, so one finger typing is very slow..lol and also to lack of sleep I've just been too tired to even look at the computer for very long.  So please accept my apologies for not commenting or for visiting anyone's blogs in general.  And though recovery could take several weeks to months I am hopeful that I will back to some gentle crafting a lot earlier, as soon as I can colour using my right hand I'll be back!!!

Magical Crafts Challenge #11

Good Morning everyone, hopefully my scheduled post has posted on the correct date and time as at this moment I should be well on my way to Harrogate for the Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza.

Challenge #11

Spring/Easter Theme

Well it's only a few more weeks until Easter and yesterday was the first day of spring, so what better theme to kick start the new season with.  We would like to see your Spring or Easter inspired projects.  Remember you can enter with any craft it doesn't have to be papercrafts, all you have to make sure is that you follow the set challenge.

This fortnight we are kindly being sponsored by Lexi's Doodles and the winner will win three images of Lexi's.  The DT were lucky enough to use the three images for our creations to help inspire you, please be sure to check out all of my fellow teamies work.  Here's mine........

I've decorated a papermache basket from Hobbycraft using paper from Papermania, the crochet flowers I made myself, this time last week I couldn't even really crochet, I spent many hours watching You Tube tutorials over and over...lol, so I'm quite proud of these, the buttons in the centre's are also Papermania.  The oversized ribbon was from my gorgeous mother's day bouquet from the girls and I have used Lexi's sweet 'Bella the Bunny' as a tag, this image is one of this challenge's prizes.

Why is it when you want to photograph glitter and sparkle you just can't seem to get it, when I'm not bothered about showing it, it shows up....lol.  So you'll have to take my word for it that there is plenty of sparkle, or you can click on piccie to enlarge it, where you will be able to see a bit more of the sparkle in it's enlarged form.

Pollycraft DT Call

Sorry there's been nothing from me since the weekend, between Steve and myself we've had tummy bugs earlier in the week, and boy it knocked the stuffing out of us, the worst part was us both having it at the same time but at least we are both getting back to ourselves again now.

Well we went to see The Stranglers last night they were very good, but I must be getting old because it was far too loud...lol.  We also enjoyed a lovely meal before hand at one of those chinese buffet places, was very yummy!!
