I hope you've enjoyed looking at some of my favourite summer pictures, don't forget to leave a comment and then you need to hop on over to Kristin's Blog.
Take care everyone xxx
A little gift bag filled with some choccies. The gift bag is made using thick paper from K & Co's Amy Butler range. The die-cut flowers are from Craft Work Cards and the ribbons are from stash. The choccies WERE from Thortons, but I can assure you the bag is now empty and I didn't have one, well apart from the one or two that didn't fit in the bag when I made it...lol. The sentiment is stamped.
This week we are being sponsered by Die Cut Dreams. To be in with a chance of winning the prize there must be at least one stamped item on your creation and that creation must be unique to the Stamptacular challenge.
I do hope you will be able to join us for this weeks challenge, we look forward to visiting your blogs and seeing your creations.
Enjoy your Sunday!!!
I've stamped Fishing Dandelion from the D&D range and coloured with watercolour pencils and copics markers and blender. Chalked the background. Ran the image through the laminator and trimmed off leaving a good border of the plastic. Please don't look too close at the hand sewing, I'm not very good at hand sewing. As you can see Dandelion has gone pink which matches my brand new fishing reel I also bought and just had to have as it was pink...lol.
Whilst I was doing this, Steve and Mollie went fishing this morning. Mollie loves to watch us fish, I think she may like it also because she gets the odd bit of luncheon meat too from the bait box. Steve caught his first Tench from the lake, quite a good size too. Mollie really wanted to get a good look, so here are some pictures of Mollie meeting the Tench and one of Steve with his catch.
Been a lovely day here today and this afternoon I went to Withernsea with Mollie for a walk on the beach, so she's had a fun filled day. Sadly Mollie can't come with us on holiday, as dogs aren't allowed where we are going but we have found a few fisheries that do allow dogs in Lincolnshire, so plan to do a few weekends away through the summer where she'll be able to come with us.
Hope everyone is enjoying their bank holiday weekend so far, lets hope the weather continues to stay fine.
I'll be back in the morning with my DT work for the next Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, can't believe it will be challenge 8.
Also don't forget the Funky Fairys challenge this week, which is Circles & Buttons!!
Enjoy your evening xxx
I've recieved some wonderful images over the past few days from a swap between some of my fellow Stamptacular DT members and here's one of them. Miss Anya has been coloured with copics, promarkers and blenders, chalked the background in pink, cut with oval nesties and inked edges in brown. Papers are all Funky Fairys from the "In With The Old" paper set. All edges of the papers have been inked in pink or brown. Embossed the middle pink paper using my bug and the 'Textile' embossing folder, dabbed with brown ink to highlight some of the embossing. Ribbon from craft stash. Flowers are prima's with pink pearl brads in the centres. Sentiment from stash, not sure where from, again I've inked the edges in brown.
All papers are from Bearly Mine Designs and inked on the edges. The 'Happy Birthday' image is an old woodmounted stamp that I've had for years, coloured with copics. All the tiny dots around it are all hand done using a Whisper marker, then edges were inked. Flowers are prima's with flat backed pearls in the centre.
I do hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge, it's always a pleasure to visit all of your blogs. Remember to be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize you must use at least one stamped item on your project and your creation must be made exclusively for the Stamptacular challenge.
The next award (above) is from the lovely Moni, thank you hun!! It's also Moni's birthday today, Happy Birthday sweetie xxx, why not hop over to her blog and leave her a birthday message.
Now a bit about this award...
"The Renee Award was created by Bella (bellasinclair.blogspot.com) and Ces (cesandherdishes.blogspot.com) who wanted to show appreciation of the impact their friend Renee made on their lives. This award is meant, according to Bella, to be given to those that, like Renee, are like "the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns…"."In Celtic mythology, the oak was the tree of doors, a gateway between worlds. So, I am passing this on to other artists that have inspired me with their art and their kindness in my growth as a papercrafting artist."
What a wonderful award, I really couldn't nominate this to anyone personally as I think this depicts everyone who takes the time to visit me and leave their encouraging comments. Bloggers are full of kindess, and so much of my inspiration is drawn from you guys in the blog world. So I hope no one is seeing this as being lazy for not nominating, but I truely want to pass this award on to each and everyone of you. So please don't be shy, take this award with love from me and spread the message of the acorn.
Thats me done for a while, I'll be back in a little while with the latest challenge over on Stamptacular, but until then, here's a wee sneeky peek at what you will be seeing from me. Check back soon!!
This is a box frame mobile. The papers and flowers are all Funky Fairys from the "Funky Flowers" set. The mesh and wire butterflies are from my craft stash and are suspended by white cotton. I have it on the wall in my hallway, and when the front door is opened and there is a little breeze the butterflies move and spin. It's not going to be staying in the hallway as I only really put it there as the walls are white so it would take a better picture, I think it's going to make it's way into my craft cave where the butterflies can flutter as much as they want as my window is normally always open. Plus Steve will be happier as he'll be able to put his barometer back up...lol.
The image is one of the new digi-stamps by Chris Dark available to download over on the Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps. I'm a sucker for oriental so couldn't wait to get his one printed and coloured. Coloured with copics and blender with a touch of clear sakura stardust on some of the outlines. Inked the edges of the image then mounted onto silver mirror card. DP's are all K & Co, and the edges were inked. The plain deep purple paper is from my stash and embossed through the bug. Finished with some card candy.
I've flipped the sketch around to the opposite side, below is the sketch to follow.
Off to work in Emma's sandwich shop this morning and for those who have reminded me about being careful with the hotplate, I had a slight run in with it on Tuesday...lol, nothing major, but I'll definately be extra careful from now on. Enjoy your day!!
The image is from the new Cherry Kisses range released a couple of days ago over on Pollycraft Designs, coloured her with copics, blender and promarkers, with just a little touch of purple sarkura stardust on the heart. The papers and flowers are also all from Pollycraft available as one kit called Cherry Kisses - Attitude. Mounted the image on to papers cut using the scalloped circle nesties, edges were all inked in purple. After cutting the flowers out, I ran them through the bug using the Divine Swirls embossing folder, this is something I've not done for a while, but my buddy Emma brought it back to mind. To finish added some blue flat backed adhesive pearls to the swirls of the paper.
I really must apologise for my lack of hopping around to all my regular blogs the past few days, I had every intention of catching up yesterday whilst waiting for the gas man to come sort our boiler. But I had awful problems with blogger, not loading pages or only half loading the pages or the comment links not working. From what I've heard a few others had also been having some problems. I did get to catch up with some last night and I hope to catch up fully this evening. So I will be getting to you I promise, hope you've not been thinking I've forgotten you.
I've used one of the fab new Funky Fairy download kit's and this one is from the Aqualicious Delights set. I've made a pillow box and cut out one of the daisy's from the paper as an embellishment. Stamped the sentiment in the centre, then applied a circle of blue gems. To finish I've added a dangly of beads.
I do hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge, we all enjoy visiting your blogs and seeing your creations.
Have a funky day!!!
And here is my DT card following the sketch:
The image is an Amy Butler stamp from K & Co. The pink bud stem was hand drawn in by myself to match the K & Co paper. Coloured with copics and blender then chalked and inked the edges. Mounted onto green and pink cardstock from my scraps stash. Used more of the green cardstock and added light blue organza ribbon knotted and bowed. Sentiment from my craft stash, not sure where from.
I do hope you'll be able join us for our latest challenge, myself and the rest of the DT look forwarding to seeing your creations.
Coloured this Gorjuss Girl image with Copics, chalked the background in pink, cut with circle scalloped nesties then inked the edges in pink. Added two eyelets either side of image then used pink ribbon from my scraps through them. Papers are all K & Co. Punched a flower from one of the dp's then added a fabric flower from my craft stash then attached with a pearl brad.
Quite a pink card but thats for a reason. Sammie is taking part in The Race For Life, but she wont be running the 5km, she wont even be walking it, on no, her and her friend's will be belly dancing the race in pink!!! Sammie doesn't have very many sponsers, so instead of collecting more sponserships she is collecting 'Pink Cards'. Thats where all us friendly, crafting bloggers come in. If you would like to help Sammie by donating any pink cards you might have spare, then please visit her blog 'Buttonz and Bradz' for further details. Sammie will be selling the cards at her church and all money raised from the sales will be donated to Cancer Research. As the race is on Sammie's birthday she is offering some candy to one lucky participant which will be drawn on the 24th May.
So this card, with a few others will be making it's way to Sammie. I'd like to wish her and her friend's all the best of luck with belly dancing the race and with the sale of the cards.
Will catch-up with my blog hopping this evening in front of the TV, ready and waiting for the 2 hour special of ER, and as George Clooney will be appearing, I'll have to give him my full attention of course...lol, so I'll continue the hopping after. Enjoy your evening all xx
I ran the base card through my bug using the 'Swiss Dots' embossing folder. The image and papers are all Funky Fairys which were released today 'The Funky Fairy' digi image set and 'Dainty Dots' paper set. The scalloped circles were cut using nesties and the flowers were punched. Coloured image with copics and sakura stardust black to the dots on her dress. Chalked the background with green shimmer chalk. Framed the image with card candy and the sentiment running around it was handwritten. Finished with some gems in the centres of the flowers.
