Sketch Saturday #48

There's a great sketch as always over on Sketch Saturday.

This fab image is a digi stamp from a new download site Doodle Palace and this one is called 'Frog Just Droppin In On A Leaf'. Coloured him using copics and blender, chalked background in blue. Papers are K & Co and the blue card is from my scraps stash. Sentiment is from craftwork cards sorry the silver embossed text doesn't really show well in the picture but it says "Hello You!", I've chalked it blue and attached with two blue brads. Finished with some card candy. Below is this weeks sketch to follow.

Funky Fairys Challenge #14 - Sketch

Good Morning All, it's Wednesday again and that means it's time for the new challenge over at Funky Fairys, thank you to everyone who entered last weeks challenge, there was some amazing creations, myself and the rest of the DT so enjoyed visiting your blogs. This week we have a sketch for you designed by me, this is my first ever sketch design, so I do hope you like it and will join in with the challenge this week. Make sure you check out all the wonderful creations by the DT here. Firstly here's the sketch:

Now after yesterdays sneak peek I can reveal my DT card using the sketch.

The papers are from the FunkyFairys Hope Collection, I so love the beautiful soft colours and patterns. Tilda is from a RAK I recieved and I've coloured her with watercolour pencils and a waterbrush, then used copics on her hair and trousers, and finally waterbrushed green sakura stardust on her wings. Cut the frame that Tilda is sitting in with Labels 2 nesties. All the edges of the lilac dp have been inked. Flowers are prima's fastened with gold brads, sentiment is from craftwork cards which I've chalked in green, then to finish there is some card candy.

Remember to take part in the challenge and be in with a chance of the prize you must use at least one FF papercraft item, you can check out the inspirational blog, for some wonderful freebies to get you started and there is also the FF shop, where you can also purchase this week newest releases 'Just A Bit' and 'Just A Bit Betties', I can assure you these are gorgeous!!

Hope you can join us for this weeks challenge, and if you enjoy it why not spread the word and tell all your friends too, all are welcome. Enjoy your day xxx

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #49

It's a colour challenge this week over on A Spoon Full of Sugar, 'Blue & Green'. I'm loving this colour combo at the moment.

I've used D&D's 'Bubble', coloured with watercolour pencils and waterbrush. I've paper pieced the flower and the tummy heart. The papers are all Funky Fairys, the green paper is a sneak peek at the upcoming set 'It's Just So Distressing Vol.5' and the dotty blue paper is from 'Dots Are Distressing Vol.1'. I used nesties for the scalloped ovals, punched flowers from the blue paper and card candy. Scalloped base card from Craftwork Cards. I've doodled some dots around the edge of the base card, green paper, image and corners with a blue Whisper pen.

Wow two cards from me in one day, it's been awhile but I think I'm finally getting more organised. I've been extra busy with some DT work, which I can't post yet I'm afraid.
We've also been quite busy with work outside, we have quite a large woodland area at the end of our garden, which is in desperate need of tidying. Over the past week one of our big old Willow trees sadly had to come down as it was too dangerous, it was finally finished today. Tomorrow they start on clearing up some of the woodland and removing the fallen trees from the water and paths. Hopefully when they've finished we will actually be able to walk through the woods for the first time since we bought the house. Been awful weather today, so not been able to go out and take any pictures of the tree now gone, but below is a picture of the tree as it was, and the other two pictures are of part of the woodland and the trees that have fallen into the water. I'll take pictures over the next few weeks as it's transformed.

Digital Tuesday Challenge #4

This week over on Digital Tuesday the theme is 'April Showers Bring May Flowers', what a wonderful challenge title.

This challenge was perfect to use one of my favourite Dustin Pike images 'April Showers', Dustin is also this weeks sponser for the challenge. Coloured image with copics and blender, on the wings I waterbrushed some sakura gold metallic. Chalked the background in blue and inked edges. The papers are from Funky Fairys newly released 'Just a Bit' papers available now from the FF shop. Flowers from my stash, held in the centre by a green pearl brad. To finish I've used a red marker around the edge of the paper and added some card candy to the free corners.

Don't forget there's a new Funky Fairys challenge theme tomorrow, but you still have time to enter the current challenge if you haven't already. Here's a sneak peek of my DT creation for the next challenge, so be sure to check back tomorrow to see the whole creation and details of the new challenge.

Just Christmas & Birthday Cards #29

I broke my new years resolution a little way back now as it has been quite a few weeks since I did a Christmas card, so feeling guilty I've made an Xmas card for the JCBC challenge this week which is a fab sketch by Kristin.

Poinsettia's from Botany Bay, nr. Preston, tartan card and sentiment from Kanban, ribbon from stash and some card candy and a brad. That was simple...lol. Can't guarantee I'll be going back to my one Christmas card a week but I will try to do one more often.

Here's this weeks sketch to follow:

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge # 4

Can you believe we are onto week 4 already?? We had a wonderful response to last weeks challenge and the entries were all wonderful myself and the rest of the DT really enjoyed visiting your blogs. This weeks theme over on Stamptacular is 'Charmed, I'm Sure" we would like to see at least one charm on your project. You don't have to make a card it can be any project and the normal rules apply, you must use at least one stamp and your project must be made exclusively for the challenge to be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize.

For this challenge my DT project is a bookmark.

The paper is Funky Fairys 'Funky Meets Shabby Chic'. The image is one of the 'Gorjuss Girls' from set 2, coloured with copics, promarkers and blenders. Scalloped oval cut from nesties. The stamped flower swirls are from papermania duo's and I've coloured the flowers with copics. Added some pink ribbon from stash and ran a piece of thread through with a charm and bead attached to each end.

Please be sure to look at the all the DT creations, they are all wonderful and sure to inspire. We do hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge.

Enjoy your Sunday xx

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #29 and DT Call

This weeks challenge over on SCSC is 'Shaped Cards' and there is a DT call for one person to join the team.

Here's my card for the challenge and DT Call.

I've done a triangular shaped card. The stamped image is from Clare Curd's male stamp set coloured with copics and then cut out. The dotty paper is K&Co and the wood effect papers I bought from Hobby Craft a while back. The silver tacks are tiny brads that I took off of some charms. The image was holding a spanner but I've added a metal hammer charm instead. The wording was handwritten on one of the wood effect papers and cut to look like a rough-cut plank of wood with jagged ends. It's a brilliant saying I stumbled on a while ago on the net and says, "If at first you don't succeed, shouldn't you try doing it like your wife told you to do it??", I think it's fab, and I know a few guys this would be good for, including my own sometimes...lol. Finished with some card candy.

Hope everyone has been enjoying their weekend so far, been a lovely day here again, though I hear some parts have been quite wet and thundery today.

I'll be back in the morning with the next Stamptacular Sunday Challenge here's a little sneak peek of my DT creation, so be sure to check back tomorrow to see the whole picture and find out about our latest challenge!!

Digital Tuesday Challenge #3

This is my first entry for the new challenge blog, Digital Tuesday Challenge. This week to celebrate 'Earth Day' the challenge is 'Green and Brown + 1 colour of your choice'. You can create anything you want but you must use at least one digital stamp on your project. The DT have done a splendid job with their projects, so be sure to check them out.

This digital image is one of the free images by Dustin Pike, Dustin is also on the look out for a design team, I can't apply as I'm not active in any forums with public access to the galleries, but if you have a blog and are active in a forum, may well be worth applying!! Coloured this little fella with copics and a blender, chalked the background in green and brown, then inked the edges in brown. The dp's are Funky Fairys 'Gorjuss Ginghams', so love these papers and there's such a vast choice of colours and shades. The sentiment was done on the PC and chalked and inked again like the image. As you can see my + 1 colour choice was yellow. This card is for my littlest nephew's 1st Birthday next week.

Hope everyone is keeping well and been enjoying the gorgeous weather we've been having here in the UK. Bye -bye for now xx

Simon Says Challenge # 2 & New Free Papers from Funky Fairys

This time round Simon Says...Recycle. Ohhh I do love a bit of recycling, though this card only has a little bit of recycling. I was just making a random card using the new Funky Fairys free papers and thought I'd just check if it fitted any challenges before posting.

The image is a Stamptivity stamp, which I've had for sometime and never inked up until this evening. Coloured with copics markers. The papers are the fab new freebie download from Funky Fairys 'Simply Swirly' available from here. The fabric flower is from my craft stash and added two punched flowers from the papers a spacer and gem brad. My recycling is the tear drop gems, which I recycled from an old pair of sandles...lol, I knew they would come in handy one day, to finish I've also added two tiny green gems.

Funky Fairys Challenge #13 ~ Winged Things

Good Morning All!!

Well it's another glorious start to the day here, lets hope this isn't all the summer like weather we are going to get this year.

Believe it or not another week has flown by and it's time for the next challenge over at Funky Fairys Challenges this week our theme is 'Winged Things', we'd love to see your creations that shows or represents something with wings on. Remember you need to use at least one Funky Fairy papercraft item on your creation to be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize.

Here's my DT creation for the challenge.

I've made this little birdhouse using one of the free papers from 'Paper Pack 2' available from the FF Inspirations Blog. The little birdies are from the Daisy & Dandelion stamp range, coloured with watercolour pencils and cut out. I masked off the writing on the little envelope and hand wrote the 'Welcome'. I made up the little sign myself with white card, then inked and chalked it and again I've handwritten the words. The leaves and flowers are from my crafting stash.

The DT have created lots of wonderful different 'Winged Things' to help inspire you, so please check them out. And talking of the DT, the bad news is that sadly, Sally has decided to step down from the DT, so I hope you'll join us in wishing her all the best. The good news is we welcome four new DT members to the 'Funky Bunch', Anesha, Ginny, Jana and Mandy, they all create wonderful work and you can check out their blogs by clicking on their links on the challenge blog.

Remember if you don't have any FF papers you can try out some freebies available on the FF Inspiration Blog (you'll find them in the right hand column near the bottom), also, if you are not familiar with downloads and are not sure how easy it is or what to do Shaz has added some really helpful videos one to show you how to download files, and another that shows how to use the FF Papercrafts Shop, where you can purchase lots of gorgeous paper kits and individual sheets to download.

Right, thats about it from me for now other than to say, I hope you can all join us for this weeks challenge myself and the rest of the DT look forward to seeing your creations.

Enjoy your day !!!!

***Inspirational Blog Update*** Well apart from a big picture of me, just ignore that...lol, you'll see two of my first creations as a GD for the shop. But more importantly the lovely Shaz has a gorgeous new paper pack available to you for free 'Simply Swirly' a set of 90 gorgeous sheets.

No excuses not to enter this weeks FF Challenge, now is there..lol!!!

One Stop Craft Challenge #25

Sorry things have been a bit slow the past few days, but we've had two gorgeous days of weather so had to seize the chance of getting some gardening and fence painting done. Was so lovely to work outside and even needed some suntan lotion on, after looking a bit pink from yesterday. Anyway I have managed a bit of crafting.

This week over on One Stop Crafts they would like to see some 'Decorative Cuts'.

I've been working on some GD designs for Making Handmade Cards and one of them was perfect for this challenge.

My decorative cuts are from using my scalloped circle nesties. The gorgeous image is from the soon to be released 'Love to Shop' images from Making Handmade Cards coloured with copics and the papers are from MHC's Madison eKit which is now available.

If you want to be one of the first to know of this realease and future releases then why not sign up for the MHC Newsletter.

Well I hope everyone else has been having some lovely weather, the sun certainly makes you feel good.

Sketch Saturday #47

There's a great sketch to follow this week over on Sketch Saturday.

Now I think they say "Blue and green should never be seen unless there's something in between", well apart from a little white in the gingham papers it's very blue and green, but I think they have worked well together. The image is one the fab images from Dustin Pike, coloured with copics and blender. Background is chalked and edges inked. All the gingham papers are from the fab new 'Gorjuss Ginghams' from Funky Fairys, the blue paper is from my scraps stash. Once it was finished I just felt it needed more, so as not to move away from the sketch, I added some faux stitching using whisper markers.

Below is the sketch to follow:

Thank you to everyone for their lovely comments regarding my fab news yesterday, they are much appreciated. xxx

Fabby News!!!

I'm delighted to have been invited to be a Guest Designer for the Funky Fairy Papercrafts Shop. I'm so excited to be given this opportunity and there are lots of new wonderful releases coming soon, so keep a look out for the sneak peaks.

Sorry no cards today, but I have been working my socks off with DT work, hope to have something for you tomorrow.

Have a lovely weekend all xxx

The Sugar Bowl Challenge #8

There is a fab sketch by Tiets to follow over on The Sugar Bowl's latest challenge.

I've used one of the Gorjuss Girls 2, which I won from challenge #6. Coloured her with copics and blender pen. Papers are all Funky Fairy. I've inked the edges of most of the papers with green or red. The flower is made up with flowers, a spacer and brad from my craft stash. The sentiment is stamped and finally I've finished with some black card candy in the corners. Sorry about the quality of the photo, it's been a dark and grey day today, the reds actually all look about the same in real life, but the flash has shown them up as different reds.

Below is the sketch to follow:

Pollycraft Challenge #13

It's Pop's theme for the latest challenge over on Pollycraft which is 'Orange'.

The image is Pollycraft's Sharing Sherbert - Secrets Stamp and added the toadstool from one of the Extra Sets, I so love these images. Coloured with copics and a blender pen, background is chalked, cut with circle scalloped nesties and inked edges in green. Mounted on orange shimmer card from Crafter's Companion cut with Labels 2 nesties. Papers are from my scraps stash. Flowers from my craft stash added some orange organza ribbon to hang from the flower. Card candy in three corners and centre of the flower.

Funky Fairys Challenge # 12 ~ Recipe 1,2,3

Good Morning it's Wednesday and time for challenge 12 over on Funky Fairys Challenges. This week we have a recipe for you, 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments. The DT have some amazing inspirations for you, so be sure to check them out.

Here's my DT card for you.

I've used papers from the Doodlementals and Paper Pack 1, both sets are available free from the Funky Fairy Inspirations Blog. The image is one of my new Gorjuss girls set 2, which I won on the Sugar Bowl Challenge, they arrived the day before I went away so didn't get a chance to play with them until I got back. I've coloured her with copics and a blender pen and added a little sparkle to centre of the flowers on her head and dress using sakura stardust. Cut out the image using oval nesties then did the dots around the frame by hand with sakura stardust, then inked the edges in lilac. Mounted image onto the doodlementals paper cut with circle scalloped nesties. Ribbon is from stash. Flowers from stash and added one layer of a punched flower from the paper.

Remember you must use at least one Funky Fairy papercraft item on your project to be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize. As well as the freebies from the FF Inspiration blog, there are lots of wonderful sheets and kits available to purchase from the FF Shop too.

We do hope you will be able to join us for the challenge, myself and the rest of the DT look forward to visiting your blogs to see your creations, don't forget to tell all your friend's too.

Sketch & Stash Challenge #8

This my last GD creation for Sketch & Stash, I'd just like to thank Becky, Cathy, Chrissie and Lisa for making me feel so welcome and I have thoroughly enjoyed my 2 week slot as a GD.

There is a terrific sketch to follow for challenge #8 and the DT have some amazing creations for you, here is my GD creation.

The digi-stamp is by Chris Dark and it's the first time I've used it, coloured with H2O's and a waterbrush, I've also used green and blue ink pads around the edges of the image. Sentiment is stamped. Papers are all, yes you guessed it, K&Co..lol, finished with some card candy.

I made this card for Clare's husband, if you know Clare's blog you may have seen that she was asking for birthday cards for her hubby, who is feeling a bit down at the moment and didn't want to bother with his birthday, well us crafters are always happy to oblige, so I hope Dean had a fantastic birthday!!

Below is this weeks sketch to follow, you are free to add the sentiment and any embellishments wherever you choose on your creation.

Sunday 12 April 2009

Hello, I'm back and Happy Easter to You All!!!

The picture above is of something we did today, it doesn't give too much away at the moment, but all will be revealed in a moment.
As you can see we are back after a wonderful weekend up in Scotland. The weather couldn't have been any better, even managed to catch a little sun today whilst we were out and about. It was lovely to see my mum and step-dad again and of course also to see my nan, little brother and step-brother and his family too. My brother surprised my nan when he arrived on Thursday and then we surprised her on the Friday, we had a birthday party for her on Saturday which was thoroughly enjoyed by all, with enough food to feed the whole street, but my mum did a grand job. We stayed in a fabulous hotel in a little town just outside of Stirling called Bridge of Allan, there aren't many hotels where I would say I'd go back to, but this one we definitely would it's called The Adamo Hotel, so if anyone ever needs anywhere to stay up that way, we'd highly recommend it, it's a little pricey but is pure luxury and the staff are so pleasant and polite and really go out of their way for you. I found it a few weeks ago in OK magazine, recommended by Ewan McGregor.
Right back to the picture are you intrigued??....well it's a view from 35 metres high, and just over that edge is the drop, and did you notice just at the bottom of the picture the water?
On our way back we visited The Falkirk Wheel, it's a big wheel that lifts boats from the lower canal to the higher canal and vice-versa. Here are some more pictures:

The trip lasts just under an hour, you start at the bottom, the wheel takes the boat up to the higher canal, you travel along an aqua duct onto the canal for a little bit, then turn around and go back on to the wheel to be taken down again. It was a fantastic experience and we took 145 photo's all in all as the views from the top and of the wheel as we go round are spectacular.

Well sorry for the long post, unfortunately we left the camara at the hotel on Saturday so couldn't get any photo's of my nan's party grrrr!!! I was really annoyed about that.

I hope you have all been enjoying your Easter weekend, and enjoy your bank holiday tomorrow, for those who have one. Be back in the morning with my GD card for Sketch and Stash xxx

Here is my DT creation for the challenge.

I've decorated a plain wooden box. The image is from the Daisy & Dandelion stamp range coloured with watercolour pencils. I've chalked the bare wood in blue. The paper is K&Co and the brown and gold borders are adhesive borders from Kanban. Organza ribbon from scraps stash and flower from Meiflower. Framed the image with card candy.

I do hope you'll be able to join us for our second challenge, we look forward to seeing your creations.

Funky Fairys Challenges #11 - Do you dare to be square?

Well here we are Wednesday again and time for a new challenge on Funky Fairys Challenges. This week we want you to 'Dare To Be Square', how you interpret this is up to you, and we look forward to seeing what you come up with. Check out all the wonderful inspirations by the DT, plenty of fuel for thought.

Remember to be in with a chance to win this weeks Funky Fairy download prize you must use at least one Funky Fairys papercraft item on your creation.

I've used FF papers from the 'Feelin Fruity, Funky Style' collection. The image is one of the new Spiral Whisper 'Gwendoline' digi-downloads, isn't she so cute, coloured with copics. The sentiment tile was free with a magazine back last year and the flowers were what I bought from Meiflower at the Harrogate Show.

There are some fabulous free papers on the FF Inspiration Blog for you to download if you are not familiar with FF products or there are some fantastic sheets and sets available to purchase from the FF shop.

Make sure you check out the FF Shop as Shaz has released two new collections this week, gorgeous 'Gingham' papers in 90 colours, all for just £2.50, what a bargain and then there's the 'Just Hangin Around' collection which is absolutely stunning and as well as papers it also includes images and sentiments for an amazing £5.99. Go on go take a peak!!

There's also a few days left to apply for a DT position for the FF Shop, visit FF Inspirations for full details.

Right this is probably going to be the last post from me now for a few days, as tomorrow morning I set off for Scotland, to visit my mum and step-dad and surprise my nan for her 80th Birthday. I will be scheduling my DT post (fingers crossed) for the new challenge on Sunday for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge and my last GD post for Sketch & Stash on Monday. I'll be back sometime the Monday so catch up with you all then.

Hope everyone has a lovely Easter weekend, and you get to indulge in a chocolate egg or two.

2 Challenges 1 Card - Sketch Saturday and Secret Crafter

Being very naughty again and combining a couple of challenges, but I go away on Thursday so I want to squeeze as many of my regular challenges in as I can, combining is better then not entering at all thats my theory anyway and I'm sticking to it...lol.

Anyway for my card I've followed this weeks fab sketch over on Sketch Saturday and combined it with this weeks theme over on Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge which is 'Stripes'.

The image is SN 'Claudia the Artist' coloured with copics and blender then a touch of sakura metallic gold on some detail. Chalked the background, stamped the sentiment and inked the edges and mounted on to pink cardstock from my scraps stash. Paper is K & Co, I bought a whole wad of these papers at the Harrogate Show, I love them so you'll be seeing a lot more of them I'm afraid. The pink scalloped banner is the same cardstock as image mount then layered some more of the K & Co paper then blue ribbed ribbon. Flowers are a Prima and another from my crafting stash. Finished with some card candy on each side. Below is the Sketch to follow this week on Sketch Saturday:

Monday 6 April 2009

Number Two For My Nan and Challenges

Here's the second card for my nan, which will be from my mum and step-dad.

I've used another of Chris Dark's gorgeous digi-stamps, as the flowers are just perfect for my nan, coloured with copics and blended. I've used the Tall Stories Keepsake Board for the card design, much the same as a bookatrix but portrait rather than landscape. Background layer is silver embossed card from Crafters Companion (won this on the One Stop Craft Challenge a few weeks ago), the middle layer is white hammer card and the top layer is paper from K & Co. The sentiment was done on the PC. Blue shimmer ribbon down the centre is from my scraps stash. Due to the patterns and textures I didn't want to over do the embellishments so just added some flat-backed heart and circle pearls. The turquoise/blue is my nan's favourite colour, so I'm sure she'll love this.

I'm so behind with challenges this week so just had a peak to see if this would fit any of the challenges and yipee there are two. The first is ABC Challenge which is 'H is for Hearts', I've used heart gems, so that should qualify. The second is Creative Card Crew which is 'Textures', the scalloped edges are all embossed and the silver card is also embossed, so hopefully this is OK.

Just need to make a box for it now!!

One For My Nan

It's my nan's 80th birthday on the 14th April, she is flying up to Scotland to visit my mum and step-dad for a couple of weeks this afternoon. As a surprise my mum is holding a little get together for her this coming Saturday, and as an extra surprise myself and my youngest brother are also going to be there. Well Steve and myself will actually be surprising her on Friday when we arrive at my mum's.
Anyway, I need to do two cards for her and here is the one from us.

The image is a gorgeous digi-stamp by Chris Dark, coloured with Twinkling H2O's and a waterbrush, I've also added a few dew drops using some 3D glaze.

Cut out image and gold matting using Labels '2' nesties then stenciled a gold rim around image and inked the edges in red. Sentiment was done on the PC and again cut-out using the label nesties.

Paper is K & Co and the red rose panel is organza type material with printed red roses, I bought this material in different colours and designs back last year and have only used recently. Added some gold ribbon going through the sentiment.

To finish I've stamped some swirls in red (though they look brown in the pic) to the top corners and added three tiny red gems.

Thank you for visiting and your coments are much appreciated. xx

Thank you and the winners are announced

WOW...what a fab day yesterday for our launch of the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge, thank you to everyone who joined in with all the bonus fun prizes throughout the day. The winners for each prize have now been selected at random and you can see if you are one of the lucky winners by checking the challenge blog. Congratulations if you are a winner!!

This week you can win a fabulous 'Making Memories' package donated by our very own DT member Kristin.
Here's my DT card for the challenge:

I've done a wedding card. The image is stamped and coloured using sakura stadust pens and a waterbrush. I've used white organza with gold thread sheet along the right edge with tied pink organza ribbon. Also punched some flowers from the white and gold organza adding pink prima flowers with white brads. The sentiment is also stamped and mounted onto gold textured card as is the image. As a final touch added a gold coloured bride and groom charm to one flower.

I do hope you'll be able to join us for the challenge and also for the fun and prizes throughout the day.

Sunday 5th April is when it all begins with our very first challenge! And in honour of our new adventure we'll also have lots of other fun and prizes going on throughout the day. So be sure to hop over to celebrate our 'New Beginning'.

We look forward to seeing you there!!

Pollycraft Challenge #12

The latest challenge over on Pollycraft is 'Downloads'. There are lots of fab downloads available over on the Pollycraft Designs Shop, you'll also find a freebie if you want to try before you buy.

This is Pollycraft's 'Bessie Circle of Flowers', coloured with copics and promarkers and I've been practicing with my blending pens again. All papers are K & Co's 'Sparkly Sweet'. Used nesties for the scalloped circle. Sentiment is fabric, which I found in my crafting stash and have no idea where it's from. Added some thin pink silk ribbon down one edge and some card candy along the bottom.

Simon Says Challenge #1

It's the first challenge over on Simon Says and their premier challenge is 'Yellow & Green'.

This should be last of the Easter card's, I don't generally make them but I've done three for my niece and nephews to send them some money for eggs as I've not been able to get down to see them this year.

The image is a stamp I've had for years, not sure who it's by as nothing is on the block. Coloured in copics and promarkers also tried a bit of blending after finally getting my blending pens at the Harrogate show at the weekend. Papers are all Papermania and the sentiment is stamped. Finished with two large buttons from my stash with some green thread.

Had a busy day yesterday, moving a car load of youngests stuff over to Manchester. We were supposed to be moving her tomorrow, but after getting the keys on Tuesday, she had to come back home as she'd left some ID here and the letting agents needed it, though luckily they still gave her the keys. It's a lovely brand new flat in Salford, so looks very clean and modern, it's on the 4th floor but thankfully there was lift and quite a big one too, but we had fun and games sending the stuff up and down in it when others were trying to use the lift, some how I think it would have been quicker to of used the stairs...lol. There's only about a car load left to take now, and as it's nothing she needs urgently I should be able to take it all over to her next Thursday when I go that way to pick-up Steve for our Easter trip to Scotland to visit my mum and surprise my nan for her 80th Birthday, as she is also visiting my mum.

Today will hopefully be a little easier, just drop off some card orders, visit my godson and then a little shopping for something for tea, we have one of the other girls coming for tea and staying the night as she has meetings over this way over the next two days. Get one out the door and another arrives...lol.

Enjoy your day everyone xxx

Funky Fairys Challenge #10 ~ Green

Well Wednesday is here and it's time for our latest challenge over on Funky Fairys Challenges.

Thank you to all who entered last week, what beautiful fruity creations you made, your blogs were a joy to visit.

Sadly one of our DT members, Leanne, has decided to step down from the team, sorry to see you go Leanne xx. So we welcome a new member to the Funky Bunch, one of our GD's Lorraine, her creations for us as GD were awsome so we are all so pleased she has decided to join us on the DT, welcome Lorraine xx.

Lorraine has kindly donated her creation for the challenge a 'Post-It Note Holder' and a Parker Pen as an extra prize to be added to the FF download. So be sure to check out Lorraine's and the rest of the DT's wonderful creations on the challenge blog, oodles of inspiration.

Right, on to the challenge and this week we want to see GREEN on your creations, remember you need to use at least one Funky Fairy product on your creation and not combine with other challenges to be in with a chance of winning the prize. Here's my card:

I've used papers from the 'Love Train' and 'Hope' collection, the sentiment round is also included in the 'Hope' collection. The flower is from my stash, which was white but I gave it a hint of green using watercolour pencils and a waterbrush. The white organza ribbon is from my stash also and I've added a little 'handmade with love' heart charm to the knot. Finished with some flat-backed white and green pearls.

If you are new to Funky Fairy products don't happen to have any, then there is a wonderful selection of free downloads available from the Funky Fairy Inspiration Blog and you can purchase kits and individual sheets from the Funky Fairy Papercrafts Shop.

The Funky Fairy shop is looking for THREE new members for the DT, for full details check the top post on the Funky Fairy Inspiration Blog. The DT call ends on the 14th April 2009.

Right thats about it, all thats left to say is that we hope you can come a long and join us for this weeks challenge and we look forward to seeing your creations.

Enjoy your day!!!
