My new blog has now been launched, not much on it at the moment but I have a few items to add over the coming days to get it started. Please pop on over and take a look and follow if you like, I look forward to seeing you there and hopefully hearing what you think as I add my new creations..
Hello everyone, well it's been sometime now since I last posted on my blog, totally blown my new year resolution to be more active on here...lol. But sadly it's just not happening, virtually zero mojo for any cardmaking unfortunately. So after much contemplating and with a heavy heart I have decided that after virtually 8 years of cardmaking it is no longer for me. I'm going to be having a massive clear out over the next few weeks and selling a majority of my crafting stash on either ebay or facebook, not decided yet, but I will add links to my blog as they come up for sale, it's going to be a lot of stuff thats for sure, but it's all just sitting there gathering dust which is such a shame. But on a happier note you've not seen the last of me. I have been turning my hand to some other crafting activities which seem to be fitting in with my time much easier and I would like to develop further these include jewellery making and fascinators. So I will be creating a brand new blog soon to showcase my makes with a few other crafts thrown in, you never know there maybe the odd card thrown in now and again if the mojo lets me. I will also continue running the Craft Your Days Away challenge blog, I may not be joining in with the cardmaking anymore but I hope to put pieces in as and when able that involve other crafts.
Which brings me on to say that Challenge #45 over at CYDA kicks off today with a fabulous theme chosen by our Lisa...
ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL
So we do hope everyone will still continue to join us for some challenge fun.
Believe me I am sad that my cardmaking has come to the end of the road, and it's not something I ever thought would happen, and it honestly wasn't an easy decison to make. I started with an underbed plastic box of stash now I have a full room with cupboards stuffed full, it has been an enjoyable journey that has sadly run it's course. A massive thank you to everyone who has supported me on my cardmaking journey, I have made some fabulous friends on my blog, forums and luckily enough to have met a few in person, but as I said this isn't good-bye just the start of new things and I hope many of my friends will follow my new crafting interests when my new blog launches, and I wont be deleting this one either it will be here as a reminder of my progression through making cards, and maybe help give inspiration to some others if they happen to fall upon this blog.
Hello everyone, oops already broken my new years resolution and it's been a month since I last posted anything on my wee blog...tut, tut.
Well after a spring like week today looks a bit disappointing really dark, damp and dreary here in East Yorkshire. Mollie will be sulking a little later as she's off for her annual's at the vets this morning, she'll get out of the car all waggy tailed and get as far as the vet doors then will plonk herself down and refuse to move.....lol, so we have to pick her up then once inside in the reception she'll not be too bad but as soon as the vet opens his door she heads for the exit and wont budge, thank goodness she's not a big dog that we couldn't pick up, but she really is comical and it's the same routine everytime we go...lol.
So anyway it's time for a card from me at long last. The theme over at Craft Your Days Away this fortnight was chosen by Donna and is....
It's just 2 weeks away until Mother's Day, so time to get thinking about our mum's. We are aware that some countries don't celebrate Mother's Day at the same time as us here in the UK, so we will be happy to see another celebration type related to mum's such as a birthday, but it must be related to 'Mum'
Meljen's Designs are our sponsors for this challenge and the winner will recieve 4 digi images (non-coloured) of their choice. Two of Meljen's Designs DT have also joined us as our GD's for the challenge, so be sure to check out all the GD and DT pieces over on the challenge blog.
Here's my card.....
Aplologies for the awful photo quality but I wasn't able to take the piccy in daylight.
I have used a Meljen's image called 'Lazy Susan Buggies', coloured with Promarkers. Papers are 'My Minds Eye'.
We also welcome FIVE new members to the CYDA DT after our DT call that ran over the last fortnight - Julie, Caz, Jacqui, Berit and Nat will all hopefully be joining us for our next challenge in 2 weeks time.
Right that's it from me for now, hope everyone has a great weekend rain or shine.
It's a bit breezy and chilly out there today, but gotta do the shopping today and other bits and bobs, get them out of the way then I can chill for the rest of the weekend and get some more crafting done.
It's time for a new challenge over at Craft Your Days Away and this time round the lovely Lesley has chosen the theme of....
Ohhhh it normally pains me to get tearing my beloved papers, but this time round I got dug in to my scraps stash and it didn't feel quite so bad....lol. So here is my card....
We are being sponsored this time round by another new sponsor to CYDA
I've used 'Gus Fishing' from Bugaboo Stamps, coloured with promarkers. Distressing always tends to point me to a man's card for some reason and more often then not it's fishing themed too.
Please check out the fabulous creations from our two Bugaboo GD's and of course the awesome CYDA DT over on the challenge blog. Hopefully you can also join us for this fortnights challenge where you could be our random winner of SEVEN Bugaboo images of your choice!!!
Well enjoy your weekend whatever your plans are and thank you for stopping by.
Poorly with a stinking cold at the moment, it's totally ruined all my plans for my extra few days off, isn't it just typical.
At least I've got some time to do a bit of crafting, and thats just what I've been doing this morning. I've not altered anything for absolutely ages, but I've got about half a dozen empty tubs left over from Christmas and just couldn't bear to throw them away cos i just know they'll come in handy, so I got to work on one of them today.....
I'm entering this into the following challenges....
I hope my creations give you inspiration, but please do not copy and claim as your own or submit to any publications, competitions or Design Teams etc.., please acknowledge where you got the idea, ideally by adding a link back to my blog. All photo's of my work are copyrighted to me. Thank You and Happy Crafting
