Stamptacular Challenge #1 ~ New Beginnings

The day is finally here and the new Stamptacular Sunday Challenge has begun.

We are all so excitied and hope you are too. There is several chances throughout the day to win some fab candy, so be sure to keep checking back on the challenge blog.

For our very first challenge the theme is "New Beginnings", the DT have all done some wonderful creations to help inspire you. You can create any project as long as it represents 'New Beginnings' and has some form of stamping on it.

This week you can win a fabulous 'Making Memories' package donated by our very own DT member Kristin.
Here's my DT card for the challenge:

I've done a wedding card. The image is stamped and coloured using sakura stadust pens and a waterbrush. I've used white organza with gold thread sheet along the right edge with tied pink organza ribbon. Also punched some flowers from the white and gold organza adding pink prima flowers with white brads. The sentiment is also stamped and mounted onto gold textured card as is the image. As a final touch added a gold coloured bride and groom charm to one flower.

I do hope you'll be able to join us for the challenge and also for the fun and prizes throughout the day.

A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge #35

This week over on A Spoonful of Sugar the theme is 'Oh Baby'.

"create a card for a New Baby, Mum-to-be, New Mum or Pre-schooler".

This fab image is called 'Bearing Love' designed by the talented Chris Dark, you can now purchase this and other lovely images on Chris's new blog, Sketching Stamper Digi-Stamps. Coloured image with copics and added some sakura black glaze to the nose and eyes. The papers are from my scraps stash. The button is sewn on to the fabric flower and also with the thread I hung the 'Baby Girl' button from the flower. Used some pink lace from my crafting stash then finished with two pink flower buttons and a yellow heart button wth some pink thread tied through each.

Hope everyone's had a lovely day.

Chinese New Year

It's not the Chinese New Year until the 26th January but I made this card for our friend who lives in the states, so I'll need to send it in a couple of weeks.
Next year is the year of the Ox, I downloaded the ox image from the internet and coloured with copics. The blossom tree is a peel-off and coloured with copics and sakura souffle pens. The sentiment was done on the PC, after a bit of research 'Xin nian kuai le' should mean 'Happy New Year', mounted sentiment onto red card then attached two peel-off lanterns.

I've already made a start with one of my new year resolutions, which was to be more organised with my card making and try to keep ahead, so a good start so far..lol, another is to take part in more challenges, which will be a good way to hopefully keep ahead with my cards.
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend xx
