CYDA Challenge #24 ~ Fancy Folds

Good Morning!!

Wish I could say it's a nice bright and sunny start like it should be this time a year, but here in East Yorkshire it's a dull dark start to the morning.  So a good excuse to stay in today and make a start on my birthday party invites for September....ohhh the big 4 - 0...lol.

Anyway today is the start of a new challenge over at Craft Your Days Away and this fortnight it's Shelley who has set the theme....

Pollycraft Challenge #94 ~ Embellishment Bingo

Good Morning

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend, ours has been hectic trying to get ready for our holiday next weekend, just not enough hours in the day at the moment.  Anyway it's Monday and time for a new challenge over at Pollycraft Monday Challenges.

EMBELLISHMENT BINGO

A real fun challenge for you this week if you are not familiar with this kind of challenge (which I've got to admit I wasn't before now) there is a grid of embellishments all you need to do is choose a line that is either a diagonal, horizontal or vertical line, and then you will end up with three embellishments to use.  The DT have all had fun with this one and here is mine.....

I've used one of the gorgeous new images from Pollycraft this is 'Claudia Tutu', I've coloured her with watercolour pencils blended with sansador and promarkers on her dress.  This is a comissioned card for a work colleague.

I chose the line of Tag - Sparkle - Flowers

You can't see the sparkle very well on the piccy I'm afraid, but I added Sakura Stardust in Clear Star to Claudia's bow, dress detail and ballet pump straps, then also went over the sentiment writing with it too.

Well Mr Blogger was not playing the game today with scheduling my post, so many apologies for this late post for the new challenge over at Pollycraft Monday Challenges

OLD/NEGLECTED STAMP/IMAGE

So it's time to dust off one of those stamps you've not used for a while or search through your stash of digi images on you PC, who knows what you might find, maybe something you'd even forgot you had.

A Mother's Day Card

Hiya All!!  Been busy so far this weekend making some Mum cards for mothers day to take into work next week.  I had an amazingly large stash of cards so decided to take some of them into work for the staff and customers to buy, with all money going to our current charity 'Sunshine House' in Hull.  I've not been at my branch for nearly a month now, but the girls have told me that all the cards have all gone, so need a complete restock when I go in next week, hence the 'Mum' cards.  I'm so chuffed that the cards have all sold there were 46 in total, raising some lovely money for the charity, hopefully the next lot will sell just as well.  So anyway here is one of the cards which I'm entering into some challenges....

Pollycraft Challenge #82

Hi there!!  I've finally made it back online after a little glitch with the broadband (well it was a big one really...lol).  I'm revampng my craftroom and I had to disoconnect everything to move it and well lets not say anymore, but it's all fixed now, and I promise not to touch it again...lol!!

Well its Monday morning, and yay I'm on holiday this week, so once my craftroom is all back together again you should see a few creations from me this week.  It's also time for our next challenge for you over at Pollycraft Challenges with a theme that has been chosen by me....

CYDA Challenge #14

Good Morning All!!  It's a bit of a wintery mix here today in Yorkshire with rain and snow, I don't think the snow is meant to come to much the rain will domineer I expect.

Brightening Up the Day

Good Evening All

Well they say the chilly weather is on it's way back later this week here in the UK, don't know about you but I can't wait for spring.  So in the meantime I decided to do a card using using bright and zingy colours to help brighten the wet and windy days we are currently having.

Got two of the girls visiting today for night, Charlotte the youngest flies off to America tomorrow to start her new adventure working for the next 6 months for Princess Cruises, all very exciting for her.  She only got a few days notice to say she was going so all has been a bit rushed, her sister Karen is taking her to Manchester airport at the crack of sparrows tomorrow.  So we have enjoyed a yummy home cooked chinese for our tea and we are all sitting here totally stuffed now.  Best we get an early night if we want to see them off at 5 in the morning!!!

First Card for 2011

Hello All, seems to be a bit chillier again today, lets hope it stays snow free!!  We are feeling much better here now, still coughing and spluttering but we can cope with that, as xmas dinner was ruined we are having round 2 today, yep the full works and we've even bought each other a couple of pressies to open, we were going to leave it until next weekend but our appetites are back and it'll be nice to do it with the xmas decs still up, so looking forward to me dinner...lol.
