Well it rained last night quite hard, but it is still real muggy and sticky, the sun is trying to break through now, so a good chance to take Mollie for her stroll and go do a bit of shopping.  We had a lovely time at the beach yesterday, Mollie was in her element running around in the sea, luckily she never goes out of her depth, even went paddling myself then we had a little picnic, though Mollie was more interested in digging a moat around me and the towel then eating...lol, so the sarnies got a bit sandy.

Oh and one more thing my little blog is featured in the current '101 Lovely Craft Blogs' over at dotcomgiftshop.  It was a nice thing to see when I recieved an email from them this morning, I'd not heard of it before, I've been and looked at the list and recognised a few other blogs on there too.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Magical Crafts Challenge #18

Good Morning!!

What gorgeous weather we seem to be having across the UK, on Glastonbury weekend too, which is normally known for it's mud bath...lol.  Wonder how many will be having BBQ's today with the England match this afternoon, lets hope it will be a celebration!!

Anyway, it's time for a new challenge over on Magical Crafts.  We had well over 200 entries for our last challenge and I have a feeling our next challenge for you could end up being another high entry one, as it's a nice easy one.....

'FLOWER POWER'

We just want to see some flowers on your project, see nice and easy and for the majority of us we love to use flowers right?

The DT have come up with plenty of gorgeous flowery inspiration for you so please do take a moment to check them out.  We are being sponsored this time round by our wonderful monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp and the winner will recieve a $10 spend in the Simon Says Store.

On a sad note our fellow DT member Steph is stepping down from the DT for personal reasons, she has been with us from the very beginning and is going to be awfully missed.  Thank you Steph for all your support and commitment to the team and I wish you all the very best hun for the coming months and beyond.

Right, here's my flowery project....

The blank frame was from The Range and I have covered it with some black netting material that has coloured flower detail on it, I found it amongst my material scrap stash.  I've made the flower by cutting out lots of circles of three sizes from some pink, blue and white organza, then layered and scrunched them together before securing by sewing them together in the centre.  I then pushed a pink gem brad with a spacer through the centre of the flower to finish off.  I found the feather amongst the scrap material so thought this looked great with the flower.  The stringed gems running around the edge of the frame I bought sometime ago from a local haberdashery store.  As you can see I took photo's of the frame both ways that it can stand to see which looked best but I think you'll agree it looks great either way so decided to show them both.

We do hope you'll join us for our latest challenge, we can't wait to see your flowery creations.

Hope everyone enjoys the remainder of their weekend, slap on that suncream and enjoy!!!

Before I go, if your still with me that is...We had a wonderful few days away down in Tewksbury and ended up staying a little longer than first planned.  The days were spent lazing by the lakes or canals Steve with his rods and me alternating between my pole and rod.  Steve caught by far the most fish but he didn't catch many real biggies that was me, it was fun to have our little matches between us, and though he always beat me on the amount of fish I won everytime when it came to the total weight.  So feeling much more relaxed and chilled now after our little break.

Right I'll leave it at that for now.

Thank you for stopping by and all your lovely comments.

Pollycraft Monday Challenge #48

Happy Monday!!

It's time for a new challenge over on Pollycraft, this weeks challenge theme was chosen by Joey which is...

LETS HAVE A SING SONG!!

We want to see your song inspired creations, so you could maybe use a song title or lyrics on your project or maybe there is a song that reflects in your creation, if it's not obvious please let us know in your post what your inspiring song is.

The DT have all had fun with this one, I personally loved this theme but found it so hard to choose the song I wanted to work with, I can tell you it changed a few times on the drawing board.  So please do check out my fellow DT buddies work, you'll not be disappointed.  Here's mine...

If you've not already guessed the song that inspired this piece was Queen's 'Friends Will Be Friends'.  I have used three different Pollycraft images from different collections to bring them togther as friends.

Flowers - From stash
