Pollycraft Challenge #23

Good Morning Everyone!!
It's a new challenge this week over on Pollycraft Monday Challenge and this is my first slot as one of the guest designers.  The theme this week is ...
FURRY FRIENDS..(Animals)
We would like to see you add an animal to your creations.  Remember you don't have to use a Pollycraft image on your creation but if you do you will be entered into a monthly prize draw for a £25 voucher.  This weeks prize is the gorgeous 'Sweet Dreams' digital stamp collection.

The DT have been busy with lots of gorgeous 'Furry Friend' creations so be sure to check them out, here is my GD card for you.

I've used one of the new Animal Scribbles digi stamps available now from the Pollycraft Designs Shop.  This is 'Kitty Flowers' coloured her with watercolour pencils and copics, the grass and background were chalked, used scalloped circle nesties in my bug to cut out image, inked scallop edges in purple.  Dp is K & Co.  Flowers were plain white die-cuts which I coloured using copics then added clear dew drops in the centres. Sentiment is stamped and coloured with copics then finished with clear dew drops in three corners.
We do hope you'll join in with the latest challenge, and remember the challenge runs for two weeks.

Bank Holiday Sunday Fun!!!

Good Evening All
We had a fantastic fun day today with the village raft race and then the BBQ back here.  The weather wasn't too good, but at least the rain held off for us to get the BBQ done, in fact it just started to rain as we were taking the last of the chicken drumsticks off the barbie, it was too windy and chilly to sit outside anyway so we'd set everything up to eat inside.  I managed to get a few pictures well 94 to be precise of the raft race fun, and here are a few to share with you.

There were 6 rafts in this years race, they have a nice leisurely row for about 1/4 of a mile until they reach the end when there are a number of obstacles and the added bombardment of flour bombs and buckets of water. This obstacle is covered in washing-up liquid so it's pretty slippery...lol.

The rubber ring obstacles, this is where they normally all fall in!!

This poor race official gets it every year with the flour bombs, but he always makes sure the culprits get a good soaking back, and if they are really cheeky and get too close to him they often end up in the canal itself.

My cheeky nephew and no he wasn't caught in the crossfire of flour bombs, he poured a bag of flour over himself...lol.

Steve and his brother get in on the action of bombimg the rafters.

My niece about to get her dad, a quick pic before I moved out of the way.

Good hit from my niece with a little help from me too, as I'd just recieved a flour bomb to the back courtesy of my BIL.
Another of my BIL's getting a dusting, he's not normally so white on top.
And finally one more raft.
Hope you enjoyed the pics, as you can see it was all fun and thats the main thing whatever the weather.
I'll be back tomorrow morning with my first GD card for the Pollycraft challenge, thanks for stopping by!!!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

Good Morning Everyone!!
This is a scheduled post as right now family and friends should be turning up for our fun day with the village raft race and then a BBQ back here this afternoon.  Praying rain will stay away!!  Hopefully I'll have some pictures for you later.
"Scallop Mania"
We want to see plenty of scallops on your cards or other projects.  The DT have all done a fabby job again so be sure to check them out and here's mine.
I've used one of the gorgeous new 'Ginger' images from Pollycraft, coloured her with copics and promarkers.  The scalloped embossed frame and scallop base card are both from Craftwork Cards.  I've dusted over the embossing with Dovecraft blue shimmer chalk.  The blue dp is a paper from Funky Fairys 'Just Hanging Around' kit, the peachy coloured dp is from my scraps stash.  The peach flowers are fabric then I punched the blue flowers from the FF dp then added clear dewdrops to the centres.  Sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock, coloured with copics and chalk then cut out using scallop circle nesties in my bug.
We do hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge!!
Enjoy your bank holiday weekend everyone xx

Pollycrafts Friday Freebie

Good Morning Everyone
Well it's absolutely bucketing down here at the moment and the wind, well lets say it feels and looks more like November than it does August.  Paula has been busy doodling away and she has come up with yet another gorgeous freebie for you all, and his name is Dave!!! And here he is...
Coloured Dave with copics and blender.  Cut him out with circle scallop nesties on my bug then inked the edges in gold.  You can't really see by this pic but I also dotted crystal stickles as snow on the background of the image.  The gold and red embossed card are both from Kanban, sentiment is Papermania Elements.  Scalloped base card is from Craftwork Cards which I've punched at the bottom using a Fiskars snowflake border punch.  Dotted the scallops around the card with red sakura stardust then finished with card candy in the corners.  So if you would like to get your hands on Dave, just nip over to Tales from Pollycraft where you will find him waiting for you to pick him up.  Also Paula is planning to release the 'Ginger' collection later today and a few other treats so don't forget to check out the Pollycraft Shop .

This card is also my entry for this weeks Magical Crafts Forum Christmas challenge, which this week is 'Traditional".  I've gone what to me is my favourite traditional colours of Red & Gold, most Christmas my cards are more red and gold then anything else, though this year I have been more adventurous with my colours due to making quite a few throughout the year, but I've still got to have some red and gold ones!!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!!

Cherry Kisses Friend's

Good Evening Everyone!!
Sorry I've been a bit absent the past few days, I've still not managed to complete my blog hopping, in fact far from it, I've just had so much going on this week and it's not going to be much different now until after the bank holiday weekend, but I will try and hop on any spare moments and will really get down to it next week, where hopefully it will be a more peaceful week.  I really appreciate you visitng and commenting on my cards, please don't think I've forgotten you or that I'm not bothered about visitng you as I already feel really bad for being so slack the past week.  I guess we all sometimes have so much going on in our lifes that blogging has to take a back seat for a while.
Anyway I have a card to show you which is for two challenges.  I've followed the wonderful sketch over on Inspirational Card Sketches and followed the theme this week of 'Friendship' over on Creative Inspirations.
The images are from Pollycraft they are Cherry Kisses Chillin & Summer and the background grass is also from the same collection.  Coloured with copics, promarkers and blender.  Papers are Funky Fairys 'Dainty Dots'.  Ribbon is from my scraps stash, I believe I bought it from our local haberdashery store.  Flower is a mix of fabric, paper mania and a blue rose from The Range.  Frond leaves punched from paper and coloured with copics.  Added card candy to the ribbon and a green tiny gem to each image.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Coloured with copics, promarkers and blender. Chalked the background and inked the edges in purple. Orange dp was a free download from HubPages, which I printed out twice so that I could layer one of the bat's and the spider so that they slightly overlap the image. KT's Challenge

Blogging buddy Shell has had her blog taken over by her 11 year old daughter KT, who wanted to set her own challenge. She's done a wonderful sketch and theme of Cute and Romantic as it's her mum and dad's wedding anniversary very soon. I'm always up for a challenge, especially one set by a budding young crafter. Here's my card for KT's challenge.

I've used this Sarah Kay image which was stamped up for me by my sister-in-law, coloured with copics, promarkers and blender then chalked the background. The love heart clouds in the sky was done by placing heart peel-offs then chalking around them before removing them. Papers are Papermania and Dovecraft, flowers are Papermania with card candy in the centres, frond leaves punched out of white paper and coloured with copics and ribbon is from stash.

So if you are looking for a challenge please nip over to KT's blog ooopps I mean Shell's blog...lol and join in, I know KT and Shell would both be thrilled if you did. The winner will recieve KT's wonderful card she made using the her sketch and theme and some stamped images.

It's a lovely day here today. We have Steve's eldest and her boyfriend visiting us this weekend, so we are gonna go for a walk and a bit of lunch at a place called Little Switzerland near the Humber Bridge, so hoping it stays nice.
Enjoy your weekend everyone whatever your plans!!

Magical Crafts Forum Christmas Challenge #1

This is my Christmas card for the very first Christmas challenge over on my blogging buddy Angel's new craft forum Magical Crafts. The theme was 'Magical Christmas'. When I saw this gingerbread house and santa it reminded me of our visit to Munich some years ago, and there they really gave Christmas a magical feel. The images are free downloads from the D.A.I.S.I.E. Company I enlarged the gingerbread house on PSP placing it on the right side of a landscape set up and printed on to card, then folded along the left side of the house then cut out to make the shaped base card. Coloured the house with copics and promarkers then used glamour dust on the snow. Printed out a smaller gingerbread santa and again coloured with copics and added a touch of glamour dust to his trims. Stuck santa to left side of card with a foam pad. Something a bit different from me for a change and really enjoyed doing it.
Hope you have all had a great day, thanks for stopping by!!

Your Next Stamp 1st Design Team Call

Your Next Stamp are looking for their very 1st Design Team.
They are a new online craft store who also design and sell their own stamps, and they are gorgeous stamps at that. Go check out their online store here.
I love the look of their stamps so much that I thought I'd have a go at applying for their DT, so to apply I need to post 2 of my BEST projects on this post. Now it has taken me a few days to decide on which 2 cards to show as I have quite a few favourites, I'm still undecided but here it goes here are two of my most recent favourites....

If you fancy applying for their DT too, nip over to the Your Next Stamp Blog, application post needs to be in by 28th August. Good Luck!!

Get Sketchy Challenge #1

There's a brand new challenge blog on the block 'Get Sketchy'. There's a wonderful sketch to follow for their launch challenge this week.

The image is one of the new Twiddly Wings from set 2 by Pollycraft, coloured with copics and chalked the backgound with shimmer chalks. The main dp is K & Co the other dp's are from my scraps stash. Flowers are prima's with a flower brad in the centre. Added a few dew drops down one side as I thought it looked a bit bare, this is additional to the sketch so hope it's ok.
Thanks for looking!!

Pollycraft & Sketch 'n' Stash

This week over on Pollycraft the theme is "Favourite Things", you need to include some of your favourite things on your design, be it flowers, colours, image, food, animal the list goes on!!
Remember you no longer have to use a product from Pollycraft to enter the challenge, though of course if you want to that would be great. As a GD I'll not be entering my card into the challenge but I have included some of my favourite things and followed the wonderful sketch over on Sketch 'n' Stash.

My favourite season is Autumn and this Cherry Kisses frame image from Pollycraft was perfect. I love all the gorgeous warm colours of Autumn. My favourite card embellishment has to be flowers. And lastly my favourite challenges are sketches.

Coloured the image with copics and blender, then chalked the background with browns and reds. Papers are from my scraps stash. I recieved my prize this morning from Simon Says from when a won a challenge a few weeks ago over Stampin for the Weekend, so my new items I've used on this card are the Frond Leaves Martha Stewart punch, Dew Drops and Prima Flowers.

Thanks for looking!!

Mollie's 2nd Birthday

Here are a few piccies taken yesterday of one very spoilt pooch who celebrated her 2nd Birthday yesterday.

Mollie always goes under the dining room table when it involves ripping paper...lol, when the post comes in a morning she picks it up, sits there patiently until we take it off her, then waits to be given an envelope or piece of junk mail to rip up.

Getting well and truly stuck in.

Awww her new quacking duck.

She even let me put a bow in her hair..lol, something I've never done before but she sure looks cute.

My favourite pic from yesterday!!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Beary Special

Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks recipe challenge, it was such a pleasure to see so many different designs using 3 brads, 2 papers and 1 flower.

This week over on Stamptacular Sunday Challenge our theme for you is..

"BEARY SPECIAL"

You can make anything you want as long as there is a bear or bears on your project.

This week's challenge is being sponsered by our very own DT member Janneke.
To be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize your must include at least ONE stamped item on your project and your project must have been made for the Stamptacular challenge ONLY.

The DT have all been busy with some amazing projects, so please stop by and take a look. Here is my DT project for the challenge.

I've altered a plain white cardboard box into a seed packet holder, perfect gift for any gardener. The digging bear image is a stamped RAK from my SIL and I don't have a clue of it's title or who the stamp is by, so if anyone has any ideas I would be grateful!!! Coloured the image using copics and watercolour pencils with a waterbrush. Cut out image using oval nesties in my bug, then chalked background in brown and inked edges in green. Papers are from a box of mix'n'match I bought back last year and had forgotten all about, these two papers had no makers name on unfortunately. I've dabbed a brown ink pad along all the edges and corners. The carrot I hand drew myself then coloured with copics and cut out. Gosh I can't draw for the life of me and thats the second bit of drawing I've done this week. The chipboard letters are from my stash.

We do hope you'll join us this week for this 'Beary Special' theme.
Don't forget we are running a DT call too over on Stamptacular, and there is only a few days left to apply. If you are interested in joining our very fun and friendly DT then please check out the challenge blog, where the DT call post has been pinned to the top until closing date.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone, we are celebrating Mollie's 2nd Birthday with little doggie gifts for her throughout the day, so hopefully I'll be back later with some piccies.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

I was really lucky to have won some wonderful images as blog candy from Penny over on Creations by Penny yesterday evening. And this cute kitty is one of Penny's images. Coloured the image with copics and blender, I then hand sketched the brickwork and coloured with chalks I also chalked the ground, then inked the edges. Papers are Funky Fairys 'Simply Brushed' and I've again inked all the edges of each paper piece. Sentiment was done on PC and printed on to one of the papers. The finishing touch was some clear Anita's tiny gems.

Coloured her with copics and there's some sakura clear stardust on the background snow flakes. I've used Funky Fairy papers 'Merry Christmas Everyone' and 'Dainty Dots'. The holly is from my craft stash.

A bit of Femme Gothique

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good day. I've been crafting away today as we've had the BT engineer here yet again and there was no broadband. Now our phone saga has been going on now for nearly 2 weeks, we had already worked out ourselves that it was something to do with the broadband, possibly the hub, that whenever the broadband was on we couldn't recieve calls as it gave an engaged tone. Finally after many calls from here to India someone was sent out that actually knew what they were doing and as we thought we were right all along it's a problem with the hub. The engineers don't carry spare hub's so a new one is on it's way to us by post, phew at long last, so hopefully within the next few days we'll have a working phoneline.

I've done lots of DT stuff, but I managed to get a challenge card done for Digital Tuesday which is a fab sketch to follow.

The image is from the Cherry Kisses Frames Collection by Pollycraft. I've coloured with copics and a blender, I tried to achieve a tie-dyed effect on her top, I don't think it looks too bad. Chalked the background and inked edges in black. Dp's are Dovecraft. The embellishments are made up from jump rings, larger rings from an old belt, leather straps also from same belt, black and white sequin flowers and purple gems. Also added some gems to the image frame. Sentiment was done on PC then chalked and mounted onto black card and one of the dp's. As it looked a mix of feminine and gothic, I decided to reflect this in the sentiment with a little bit of french.

Enjoy your evening and thanks for looking!!

One Stop Craft Challenge #41

Yay, two cards for you in one day!!
This one's for this weeks One Stop Craft Challenge with the theme of 'Roses'. After doing a male card I had to get a feminine one done too and a zesty colour one at that...lol.

The roses image is another gorgeous freebie from Lily-Boo's Boutique, coloured with copics then inked around the edges. Cut out ovals using nesties in the bug. Papers are K & Co. Ribbon from stash. Finished with some gems in two corners. There you go something feminine and zesty.
Thanks for looking and enjoy your evening.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #51

I was chuffed to bits to find out this morning that I made the Top 5 on Cupcake for last weeks challenge, you can see on the left hand sidebar I'm already showing my Top 5 blinkie with pride!!

The challenge on Cupcake this week is a great sketch and colour theme, which just so happened to help me out with an idea for my step-dad's birthday card, as the colours were a perfect masculine combo.

Instead of an image I did a word cloud using Wordle, I'd forgotten all about this site until visiting someone elses blog recently who'd also used it, sorry I've forgotten who's blog it was. The dp's used are scraps from Funky Fairy papers and Basic Grey. Cut out the ovals using nesties in my bug. Ribbon and button from my stash, then added card candy to the bottom. The base card and panel are actually dark brown but the photo makes them look black.

Been a wet old day here today, bit of a come down from the lovely weather of the past few days, but it's still quite warm and muggy.
Dusty is doing much better and though not eating as much as he used too, he's heading in the right direction. The vets called today with some more results and all were ok. He finished the last of his antibiotics this morning so we just need to keep an eye on him for the next few weeks for any changes in behaviour, weight gain or if he deteriorates again. As he has perked up they don't want to put him through the trauma of any scans or further tests. So fingers crossed this was just some mystery nasty infection and nothing sinister is lurking.

Hope you are all having a good day!!!

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - Recipe

Good Morning Everyone
I hope many of you are enjoying some lovely weather, it certainly is here so we are off to the beach today.

Thank you to everyone who took part in our 'Child's Play' challenge last week there were so many wonderful creations. This week over on Stamptacular we have a recipe for you....

3 Brads
2 Papers
1 Flower

The DT have had yet again some wonderful fun with this challenge and we hope our works will inspire you to take part in the challenge. Here's mine for you.

The image is from the 'Sweet Dreams' collection which will be available soon from Pollycraft so this is a little sneak peek for you. Coloured her with copics and promarkers, then chalked and inked the edges and mounted her on to one of the dp's which are both Basic Grey 'Offbeat'. The brads are from my stash and the flowers are a mix of fabric, prima's and felt. The sentiment was from a freebie stamp set a couple of months ago from the Creativity magazine, which I've inked on the edges and mounted onto one of the dp's.

We do hope you will be able to join us this week for some challenge fun.

Enjoy your Sunday!!!

Sketch Saturday #63, Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge #44 & A Spoon Full of Sugar #63

Happy Saturday to you all, the sun is shining here, hope it is where you are too. Just popping a card on before getting out in the garden, not to relax unfortunately but to mow the lawn and a general tidy up, but we can relax later with a little BBQ for just the two of us, and maybe a chicken leg for Mollie...lol.

I've followed the sketch over on this weeks Sketch Saturday, followed the theme of 'Cute As A Bug' over on Secret Crafter and also the theme over on this weeks A Spoon Full of Sugar which is 'Floral Fantasy'.

The image is a free digi from Lily-Boo coloured her with copics then chalked and inked the edges. DP's are all from my scraps stash so can't remember where they are from. Inked all the edges of the green dp. Flowers are a mix of prima's and Papermania put together with pearl brads. The sentiment actually says 'Birthday Wishes' in embossed silver it's from the Daisy & Dandelion 'Masculine' collection, but with the light I just couldn't get a good enough pic to show it.

Enjoy your Saturday!!!

Pollycraft's Friday Freebie & Challenges

It's Friday and that means time for this weeks freebie from Pollycraft.
Meet Drake........

Isn't he the cutest little penguin, so if you want to get your mitt's on this little fella nip over to Tales from Pollycraft and if you do use him Paula would love to see your creations, so if you want to share what you have made leave her comment to let her know where she can see it.

I'm also entering this card into THREE challenges.
Firstly I've followed the sketch over on Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge.
Digital Tuesday this week wants to see some 'Bling', I've used some gems, sparkly snowflakes and used clear Sakura Stardust on the snow.
And finally there's a new challenge blog Penny's Challenges and for the first challenge Penny would like to see 'Buttons' on your creation, I've added a couple of buttons to the snowflakes.

Drake was coloured with copics and blender. The DP is from Kanban and silver card is from my stash as are the buttons, ribbon, gems and snowflakes.

Dusty is still making improvement and eaten a little more than he did yesterday this morning, he even found the energy to get out of his bed and come downstairs to be let out. We hadn't let him out for a few days, so we let him out and then he was back on the doorstep 10 minutes later and when coming in managed a hiss at Mollie...lol, so he is definately much better than he was much to Mollie's disgust at being hissed at for just sitting there quietly.

Enjoy your day!!!

A 5 in 1!!

Well my combining of challenges has crept up to a card that covers 5 challenges. I've followed the lovely sketch over on Charisma Cardz, the colour theme over on Cute Card Thursday which is 'Teal & Red', Simon Says 'Buttons & Ribbons', Crafty Creations is 'Buttons' and then finally Creative Inspirations where they want to see some doodling.

The image is the gorgeous Cherry Kisses - Summer from Pollycraft, coloured with copics and promarkers. The papers are all Funky Fairys 'Simply Brushed and Tiny Daisies'. I've doodled faux stitching around the edges of the papers and also the swirls on the left hand top and bottom corners. Flowers from stash with the bow and button sewn to it. Red dotty ribbon from stash as are all the buttons and the tiny white flowers. Sentiment from Kanban which I've inked in red around the edges. There are a couple of more challenges this could of fitted, but I don't want to run out of challenges to enter..lol.

Thank you to everyone for all your kind words for Dusty, I'm happy to say that he has been eating on his own today, not alot but it's better then nothing. The vet is happy for him to still stay at home with us as long as he remains eating and drinking, even if it's only a little bit. His heart rate is still quite high but his temperature is near normal now. Which hopefully means the antibiotics are helping in someway until they can identify the problem.

What a sticky muggy day it has been today, it's raining now and it feels like a storm could be on it's way, as I have one of those niggly pressure headaches which I sometimes get when we are about to get a storm, we could certainly do with one to clear the air and my head...lol.
Hope everyone's enjoyed their day!!

Funky Fairys Challenge #28

Yay it's Wednesday!! That means it's time for a new challenge over on Funky Fairys, are you last weeks winner? You better go and check on the blog!!
Thanks to everyone how entered the 'Thinking of You' challenge.

This week we have a colour challenge for you....

"BLACK & WHITE"

We want to see your projects using only the colours black and white.

The DT have some gorgeous delights to help inspire you, so please take a look and here's mine.

The image is from Funky Fairys 'Love Train' (part 8), papers are Dainty Dots and Simply Swirly. Added some black colouring to the image using copics. The large flower was white but I coloured black with copics leaving a little white, the next white flower is from Papermania, then added a fancy bow and tassle to the centre. Ribbon from stash then finished with some card candy.

We do hope you'll join us this week for some funky challenge fun!!

This is a scheduled post written last night as I'm at work today so I've no update on Dusty really except we managed to get a few teaspoons of the high protein food from the vet down him last night and a little water, so maybe the antibiotics are working. Steve's on Dusty sitting duty today and he'll have the task of trying to get the antibiotic capsule down him, that should be fun, it takes military precision just to get a worming tablet down him. Thanks to everyone for all your kind words and thoughts.

Dusty Update

Hi Everyone

No card from me today I'm afraid I have done a bit of crafting but all DT stuff, so you'll just have to wait for them.

Thanks to everyone for your messages about Dusty. We got him seen by a vet first thing this morning. They took some bloods from him and gave him a couple of antibiotic jabs, then they let me take him home as it would be more comfortable for him. The first lot of results came through this afternoon and were inconclusive in some areas and normal in others, they were'nt very specific with what that actually meant or indicated...lol. They are also testing for a thyroid problem but this result will take a week to come back. If the thyroid test comes back ok then they will do scans to check for tumours. I personally can't understand why they aren't doing the scans before hand, as at least that would be a quicker result and hopefully rule out any tumours, but I guess they know what they are doing. To try and keep his stress levels down, we have been given some high protein food and antibiotics to try and feed him at home, but if no joy with feeding after tomorrow, he will have to be hospitalised and put on IV's until all the results are in. If he deteriates any further in this time, we have to get him in to them straight away day or night. One good sign is he did have a few sips of milk this afternoon. I know cats shouldn't have normal milk and as a rule we never give him normal milk, but I think anything we can get down him at the moment will be good for him. So thats about it really, just got to try and push the fluids and food and keep a close eye on him. I'll keep you updated as and when.
Phone/broadband problem still ongoing, we've had one engineer who's now passed it on to the broadband lot, we'll hear from them this evening or tomorrow morning.
I'll have a card for you tomorrow as it's Wednesday which means it's Funky Fairys challenge day!! Enjoy the rest of your day!!!

Pollycraft #21, Sketch & Stash #16 and Cupcake Craft #51 Challenges

Pollycraft's challenge this time round has been set by Ria and the theme is 'Buttons & Bows', however I'm not actually going to be entering this card into the challenge as I'm a GD, but I just thought it would be nice to incorporate the theme into my card. But I am entering this card into the Sketch & Stash Challenge and Cupcake Craft Challenge. I've followed the fab sketch over on Sketch and Stash and gone along with the theme this week set by Cupcake which is a 'Beach Theme'.

I've used my new 'Cherry Kisses - Beach' image from Pollycraft, coloured her with copics and chalked the edges. Papers are Funky Fairys 'Simply Brushed'. Ribbon is from my stash, sentiment is from Craftwork Cards, flowers are Papermania, and the buttons I bought yesterday from our local carboot. Below is the sketch to follow over on Sketch & Stash.

I hope everyone's had a good day. We've had no landline phone all weekend, so Steve's had all the wires pulled out today checking to see whats not working after BT did a line check and all was ok. At first he thought it was sky but that was ok, then he finally located it too the cable from the broadband, went out and bought a new cable and hooray the phone appeared to be working, we could ring out. We just thought we'd do a quick check to see if we could receive incoming calls, nope it's constantly engaged. So it looks like it's now the BT Home Hub, we can now ring out but no one can ring in, unless we unplug the hub connection then have no broadband, all very confusing...lol. So that needs sorting tomorrow. Plus our poor cat Dusty is a bit poorly, he's been off his food a bit over the weekend, but today he's refused to eat at all, the problem is, he is a little so and so for not drinking whether it's water, milk or anything, so he has to have water mixed into his food, so if he's not eating that means he's also not getting fluids, so it's a trip to the vets for him tomorrow morning. He's 13, so I do hope he'll be OK. We can also tell he's not right as normally he'll give Mollie a swipe if she gets too close to him, but he just can't be bothered at present and just lets her give him a lick, that certainly is out of character for him. So fingers crossed the trip to the vets will sort him out for the better.
Thanks for stopping by!!!

The DT have some wonderful projects to show, so be sure to check them out and here's mine.

The dragon template I've had for years and had never used, not sure where it's from sorry. The little dragon image was a stamped image I recieved in a swap. The main dragon was printed on to white card stock then I ran it through the printer again using Funky Fairy's 'Slightly Spotty'. Coloured the little dragon using copics, cut him out then attached to the base card with foam pads. Sentiment was done on the PC and then made it into a little signboard for the little one to hold.

We do hope you'll join us for this week's challenge and don't forget we also have a DT call running until the 23rd August.

Sketch Saturday #62

Another wonderful sketch as always from Sketch Saturday this week.

I've coloured the Gorjuss Girl with copics and lightly chalked the edges with brown. The dp's are all from Craftwork Cards as are the, pink dotty flower, butterfly sentiment and card candy. The rest of the flower is built up with a large white fabric flower and a prima flower on top with a spacer and pink pearl brad. I really loved this sketch and will definately use again.

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday, bloomin miserable day weatherwise yet again here as it is for many in the UK I believe. Oh well will have to stay in and keep on crafting!!!
