April Showers and Flowers

Hello!!  I can't believe we are so near to the end of April already, where does the time go?  Despite the title we've actually not had many April showers, in fact it's been quite glorious on many days, will it last for the bank holiday weekend though and my trip down to sunny Sussex for a family get together, I do hope so.  I do miss being a stones throw from the beach and I'm looking forward to taking a walk along Worthing seafront for the first time in years, well I can always pack my wellies, mac and brolly...lol.

Anyway April showers and flowers are certainly reflected in my card for today...

Who's changed the photo upload thingy?...it's taken me ages to try and upload my card....grrrr I do hate it when blogger change things.  Oh well at least it's here now!!

Now I must thank my lovely buddy Shell, for the fabulous tutorial over on her blog for Fan Fold Flowers and for also experimenting with them herself to see what they looked liked if they were flattened, FAB thats what they look like.  Please go check out Shell's blog it is full of inspiration and Shell's amazing reflections on crafting and life in general all from her little shed.

********************

RECIPE

Digi Image - In Style Stamps 'Rainy Hyacinth'

Papers - My Minds Eye

Colouring Mediums - Watercolour Pencils, Sansodor, Promarkers and Sakura Stardust

Flowers - Handmade using papers

Other Embellishments - Ribbon, Bow, Buttons and Gems from stash

And before I go I have got to share with you a picture to show how clever Mollie Mops can be when it comes to carrying her favourite ring and chew bone at the same time...lol

She came in from the garden like this and sat there for 10 minutes like this, trying to make a point at how clever she was...rofl!!

Enjoy your day!!

Something Special...A Charity Challenge

Many of you may of heard of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, even if you don't live in Yorkshire, they were involved with the airlift of Richard Hammond when he had that awful accident a few years back and he brought them much publicity nationwide with his fundraising efforts.  Did you know that they need to raise £7200 a day to keep both air ambulances maintained and up in the air 7 days a week 365 days a year?  Well the YAA is something close to my heart because it is so close to the heart of my special buddy Emma.  Many of you probably know Emma (aka Crafty Emma) and remember that back last year on the 15th September her dad died after an horrific accident at work.  The Yorkshire Air Ambulance were involved in airlifting him to hospital.  Though very sadly Ronnie didn't pull through Emma and her family want to raise money for YAA in memory of Ronnie.  Now Emma has a few fundraising events coming up but is kick starting them today with a very special challenge involving this special fella....

Meet Ronnie...Paula from Pollycraft kindly drew this special edition image for Emma in memory of her dad, he is available to purchase from the Pollycraft Shop or from Emma for just £1.50, all proceeds will go to YAA, every single penny!!  I have purchased Ronnie this morning and couldn't wait to get a card made up..

I was lucky to of met Ronnie briefly a couple of times, and after just those brief times I could tell he was one top bloke and can see why he was so special to all his family and friends.

Now along with the release of the image Emma is running a challenge with some AWESOME prizes to be won, to enter you will have had to purchase the 'Ronnie' image and use him on your card.
So hop on over now to Emma's Blog and find out all the details!!
Also please take a moment to visit the YAA website, there are lots of fundraising things going on, one of which includes 'BRA's', check out their recycling section for more details.

As well as Emma's challenge I'm also entering this card into the following challenges....

It was so lovely to meet up with Lorraine again, and of course I always enjoy meeting up with Emma and Mel on a regular basis.  We managed to get a pic of us all together too....

Left to right...Lorraine, Me, Emma, Mel, my niece and Mel's daughter Emily and of course always liking to get in on the action Mollie...lol.

Thanks for a wonderful day girls, it was such fun and boy was I shattered at the end of it.

Enjoy your day everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Cute 'Lil Kitty' for Three Challenges

Hello, boy it's an absolutely gorgeous day here so far, so going to make the most of it and pop out soon to do a bit of shopping and take Mollie for a walk.  It was also a gorgeous day yesterday and we really enjoyed our trip to Bridlington, the beach was packed and kiddies were happily paddling in the water, though when I dipped my big toe in I rapidly took it out again as the sea was ice cold.  There were even some avid sun worshippers who were brave enough to sunbathe in next to nothing, it was pleasant but not that warm...lol, mind you we all had a touch of colour to our faces by the end of the day.

I think I'm really in the pink & green mood this week as thats the colout combo I've used again on my card for today....

RECIPE

Digi Image - Pollycraft 'Lil Kitty & Butterfly'

Sentiment - Pollycraft 'Roundabouts Frienship Sentiments'

Papers - Dovecraft
