Our holiday and some pics

*********** LONG POST WARNING ***********
Thank you to everyone for your welcome back messages and get well wishes. I'm feeling a little more better today and managed to eat a little today, after nothing for 2 days. I've managed to download all the holiday pics so I can now share a selection with you.

Kingslake - This is was our holiday cottage, it was nice and cosy and we even had our own little garden area with a BBQ.

The wildlife was very friendly.

The fishing was very good, there were 7 lakes to choose from all set in natural surroundings and so peaceful.

We had some great days out too.....

THE EDEN PROJECT

TORQUAY

ILFRACOMBE

MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, BUT A GREAT VIEW!!

MINEHEAD

The weather was fantastic with only one wet day at the start of the second week, so certainly couldn't complain. Devon really is a beautiful place we did consider moving there before we bought our current house. I was a bit disappointed with Torquay as I remember our family holiday there nearly 30 years ago, but it has become too built up and commercial now. My favourite days out were The Eden Project (Cornwall) and Ilfracombe. It was great going back to the Eden Project after first visiting it the year it opened, the landscape looked so bare the first time but now it is all well established and the Biorms were amazing. Ilfracombe was so pretty and though a popular coastal holiday resort it isn't over commercialised.

Well thats a bit about our holiday and I hope you enjoyed the piccies.

I plan to catch up with blog hopping and emails over the weekend, so please bear with me.

I'm Back From Fishing

Well here I am back again from our hoidays in Devon. The weather was glorious the whole week, a little chilly in the evenings and early morning until the fog lifted then it was sunshine everyday. We had a lovely relaxing time, though the fishing was a bit disappointing all week, so we left Devon early Saturday morning and headed to our favourite fishing lakes complex in Tewkesbury as we were going to stay in Bristol for the night. We also went back there again today for a few more hours of fishing before heading on the road home. My biggest fish of the week was caught in Tewkesbury, yesterday a 12lb mirror carp :-), so I was very happy with that. We made friend's with another couple, Kay & Peter whilst in Devon, who came from Wakefield, so not too far from us. I also learnt on the second day that Kay was also a card maker, so us girls took a day off from the fishing on Thursday and went to the Stitch & Papercraft Show in Exeter, I have to say this was the highlight of my week, we had a great day and spent way too much, as you do. Well that's about it for now peeps, I'm pretty shattered, so looking forward to my bed very soon. Hope to back into the swing of crafting in the next few days as I have loads of new goodies to play with again. I'll leave you with some pictures of our week xxx
