SF Christmas Challenge, Pollycraft's Critters & Cogs Party and some awards.........

Got a few things to share with you on this post...

Firstly there is just a few days left to enter our very first challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenges, sadly we've not had too many entries as yet.  I know many of you are still maybe getting over all the Christmas crafting, but don't forget that doing a few bits through the year will be a real help in the run up to Christmas this year, and you maybe just glad that you got started throughout the year when it comes to it.  It's a monthly challenge and you can enter more than once if you wish.  So please come and join us for this months challenge, before our second challenge is set on the 1st March.

I have a fear of dolls, I don't know why. I'm not too bad if they are dolls of babies or even some rag dolls, but anything like Barbie eeeughh, give me shivers. But the worst are the old fashioned dolls with porcelain faces.

Now a bit about this award...

I've recieved another two fabby awards over the past couple of days.

Random Card, Fabby News, a Sneek Peek and an Award!!

Grab a cuppa this is a bit of a long one.

First I'll start with a random card, I made it for something else but it didn't fit in the end and I can't find any of my regular challenges for it to fit in with other than SCSC but I've already entered a card into that challenge, so Im just going to share it with you anyway.

Used one of my favourite SN stamps 'Sweet n Sassy'. Coloured her with copics, blender and promarkers. Inked the edges with brown ink and mounted onto green cardstock from scraps stash. Papers are K & Co, I cut scalloped ovals from one of the papers using nesties, and placed in the corners. Green organza ribbon from Ribbon Box. Finished with some card candy in the corners. Card candy and scalloped base card both from Craftwork Cards.

Now for my fabby news....

I recieved an email this morning asking if I'd like to become an official designer for Making Handmade Cards. I've been a guest designer for a couple of months, so this is such fabby news. And I've already got my new blinkie...lol.

I'm really excited about this new opportunity and there are some new exciting things to come over on MHC, so I will keep you posted as and when these develop. But in the mean time you may want to sign-up for their newsletter where you'll get freebies, tips and the latest news on new releases, click here to sign-up.

Before January this year I'd never dreamed of being on a DT or ever thought my crafting was good enough, but I'm so proud to now be a member of a few DT's, I have been so lucky and feel so honoured.

New Look & Awards

Good Morning All

Many of you may have noticed I've had a bit of a spring clean on my blog and given it a fresh new look and layout, there still maybe a few changes here and there over the next few days, I'm trying to have a go at making my own header, not very successful so far but I'll keep trying. Anyway, I hope you all like it, I've tried to get all the colours of the text right, but please if anyone does find any problems with reading any of the text due to the colour or anything else I'd much appreciate if you could let me know.

Here's my NEWS, a few days ago I recieved an email inviting me to be a guest designer for Making Handmade Cards...woohoo. So I have been working on some cards for them this morning and hope to be posting them on here soon, so keep a look out.

Sorry for my lack of cards and blog hopping this weekend, have been so busy with babysitting, gardening and helping Steve with his end of year books. Well here I go, these are probably more honest 'crap' then interesting...lol.

1. I always have to leave the landing light on at night, I hate the house being in total darkness.

2. I like to swim and I'm a fairly strong swimmer, but wont go out of my depth unless I can swim along the edge of the pool.

3. My middle name is Christine, after my mum.

4. I'm a born worrier, and will worry about the silliest of things.

5. I treat Mollie (the dog) as if she was a real kid, well to me she is, she's my baby...lol.

6. I'm a compulsive spender for crafty things, though I'm sure I'm not alone on that one.

7. I have two younger brothers Daniel and Jamie, and last year I gained an older step-brother and younger step-sister, Patrick and Fiona.

8. I was born in and lived in Sussex until moving to Yorkshire with Steve in 1996.

9. I have been with Steve 15 years this year, and we've been engaged just over a year, so not holding my breath for a quick wedding date.

10. I have a degree in Psychology and graduated in 2002.

1. Buttons - I'm currently addicted to buttons...lol, this is a new one, but I've gone from having a handful to about ten handfuls, and still want more.

4. Smoked Trout, blooming expensive but just can't get enough of it recently.

5. Thursday's as ER has started it's final series, will be so sad when it finishes for good, I've not missed one episode in the 15 years it's been running, oh and my other favourite Skins starts tonight too, new bunch of kids this time, so hope it'll be as good as the last two series.
