My first completed Circle Journal

Over on the Magical Crafts Forum you'll find lots of swaps going on and the Circle Journal is one of them.
This was started back in September last year it involves, you starting your journal, then sending on to another person to complete a double page, then they post it on to someone else to complete a double page and so on until the final finished journal is returned back to you.  I am not a scrapbooker, so this was a challenge for me, not only starting my own but also doing a double page in other peoples who were in the circle.  But we got there in the end and my little journal is now back with me.  I've not signed up to take part in the second circle, but I think I will definately take part again when I can.  So here's my completed Circle Journal, thank you to two very talented friends Angel and Jackie for their pages.....and the journal subject was my little furbaby Mollie...

This is something I really will treasure and there is room for me to add more pages in the future.
**********
Sorry I've not been about with any new posts for a few days, I've been working and have also come down with a cold, which I thought was going to be a right stinker of one last night as I felt really rotten, but thankfully today I feel more human and only have a little niggling sore throat, sniffles and a bit sneezy.  Hopefully that's as worse as it's gonna get.

Hope everyone else is keeping well and keeping warm as that cold air here still lingers on with the constant threat of snow.  Roll on spring I say.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hugs

Stamptacular Challenge #11

Yes another scheduled post, but we should be on our way back today from Devon.
Thank you to everyone who took part in last weeks challenge, and once again sorry if I was unable to comment on any or all entries.
This week the challenge over on Stamptacular is.....
"Father's Day"
This challenge is a tribute to all Father's. Remember to be in with a chance of winning this weeks prize you must use at least one stamp on your project and your entry must be exclusive to our challenge.
The DT have some amazing tributes to Father's and here's mine...

I've done this word book as a tribute to my late dad, who sadly passed away suddenly in 2006. The word book template and papers are all from Funky Hand. Ribbons and fibres are from my craft stash. I've stamped the 'memories' tag and then the 'of u' on the A & D letters. The inside isn't quite finished but it will be full of some of my favourite photo's and memories of my my dad.

I do hope you will be able join us for this challenge.

Funky Fairys Challenge # 8 ~ Scrapbook Page

Gosh how the weeks are flying, we're on to challenge #8 over on Funky Fairys Challenges. Thank you to all who participated in the 'Door Hanger' challenge, we really enjoyed visiting your creations. The winner of challenge #7 will be announced later.

This week we would love to see 'Scrapbook Pages'. It can be on any theme or size all we ask is that you use at least ONE Funky Fairys Papercraft item on your page, to be in with a chance of winning a prize. The DT have been busy with some wonderful examples and here's mine...

This is an 8 x 8 page and I've used FF papers 'In With The Old'. These are pictures of Steve & Me with our biggest catches last year on a fishing holiday. The wording was cut on my cuttlebug. I've used a fishing float, hook & line and shot weights as some of the embellishments. The stamped fish are from 'Clare Curd's Signature Range' and lightly shaded with brown pencil. Finished with some card candy.

Remember if you don't have have any FF papers, there are some wonderful freebies available on the Funky Fairy Inspirations blog, on the right hand side bar towards the bottom of the page. And of course there is the Funky Fairys Download Shop where you can purchase some amazing kits and individual sheets.

This is a perfect opportunity to do something with some of those photo's you've been meaning to do something with, don't worry if you've never done a scrapbook page before, some of our DT had never done one before and I'm a novice also. Go on have a go!!!

My page is going to go in a frame that I bought from The Range, it's a special scrapbook box frame, a wonderful way to display your pages especially if you are not planning to do a scrapbook.

Hope you'll join us and don't forget to tell your friends.

Scrapbooks are finished

Here are the last few pages of the scrapbooks I've been doing for the past week.
Though I'm happy with the finished books, I don't really think scrapbooking is for me, maybe it was just because these books were hard as they were dedicated to my dad or even the fact that I was duplicating four times. I may have a go at another sometime in the future and see if I can get more into it.

Second Batch of Scrapbook Pages

Still been keeping busy with the scrapbooks over the past few days, but I'm nearly done now, only a couple of pages to go.

A big thank you to Louise Emma from the Iamg-e-nation Forum for helping me make these holiday pages complete with the Bognor Regis Postcard, which I believe is a photo she took her self then added the text and border using PSP, Thanks Louise xx

The following page is Henry Scott Holland's - Death is nothing at all, it was chosen by my mum to be read at my dad's funeral. The flower's are from the funeral, with my mum's love heart wreath being at the bottom of the verse.

Now on a lighter note I have a peacock (pea hen) update.......
She is still roaming between our garden and the neighbour's, more so in the neighbour's as Mollie keeps chasing her off. From what I have been told 4 peacocks were dumped in the village just over a week ago. The RSPCA are aware but have had problems catching them, so it is looking like the village may have gained four peacocks...lol, luckily for us the female makes little noise (unless Mollie is chasing her off the garden of course) but apparently the males further up the road have been very noisy especially at 5 o'clock in the morning, so there are a few residents who are not too impressed with the village's newest residents.

Scrapbooking

I've been busy the past few days trying to complete my dad's scrapbooks so I can give my brothers theirs when I go to see them next week. We sadly lost our dad suddenly in October 2006. I've been trying to do these scrapbooks for the past year but it has been hard and quite emotional to do, hence why it it's been taking me so long. I'm doing four, one each for myself, our mum and my brothers. Here are the completed pages so far, these are the first scrapbooks I've ever done, other than a little memory book for my mum a few years ago for mother's day. I'll post further pages as they are done.
