Funky Fairys Challenge #40

Thanks to everyone who took part in last weeks challenge which was "Picture It", there was only a few of you who entered but all of your creations were gorgeous.

This weeks Funky Fairy Challenge is....

"Touchy Feely"

We would like to see you use different textures on your projects.

The DT have all been busy creating what we hope is some inspiring projects for you, and we also welcome our Guest Designer Suzy, who is joining us for the next two challenges.  Please be sure to check out all the DT's and GD creations.  Here's mine...

This is a tree, as you can see...lol.  I have painstakingly covered a polystyrene cone with lots and lots of cut out paper triangles.  The baubles are headed pins then added the thin tinsel around it.  The tree trunk is a bunch of wooden kebab sticks which stand in a cotton reel that I've covered with velvety xmas ribbon.  I just saw this polystyrene cone at Hobbycraft last week and had myself a little lightbulb moment...lol.  I think you'll agree there is plenty of texture to this tree, not quite sure about the star on top, may have to rethink this before I put it out at Christmas.

RECIPE

Papers - Funky Fairys 'Shabby Christmas'

Other Materials - Polystyrene Cone, Kebab Sticks, Cotton Reel, Wide Ribbon, Star Decoration, Headed Pins, Thin Tinsel.

I just about used three A4 Sheets of patterned paper to make up this tree.

We do hope you will join us for this weeks challenge, we look forward to seeing your work.

Hugs

Joanne xx
