Magical Crafts Challenge #18

Good Morning!!

What gorgeous weather we seem to be having across the UK, on Glastonbury weekend too, which is normally known for it's mud bath...lol.  Wonder how many will be having BBQ's today with the England match this afternoon, lets hope it will be a celebration!!

Anyway, it's time for a new challenge over on Magical Crafts.  We had well over 200 entries for our last challenge and I have a feeling our next challenge for you could end up being another high entry one, as it's a nice easy one.....

'FLOWER POWER'

We just want to see some flowers on your project, see nice and easy and for the majority of us we love to use flowers right?

The DT have come up with plenty of gorgeous flowery inspiration for you so please do take a moment to check them out.  We are being sponsored this time round by our wonderful monthly sponsor Simon Says Stamp and the winner will recieve a $10 spend in the Simon Says Store.

On a sad note our fellow DT member Steph is stepping down from the DT for personal reasons, she has been with us from the very beginning and is going to be awfully missed.  Thank you Steph for all your support and commitment to the team and I wish you all the very best hun for the coming months and beyond.

Right, here's my flowery project....

The blank frame was from The Range and I have covered it with some black netting material that has coloured flower detail on it, I found it amongst my material scrap stash.  I've made the flower by cutting out lots of circles of three sizes from some pink, blue and white organza, then layered and scrunched them together before securing by sewing them together in the centre.  I then pushed a pink gem brad with a spacer through the centre of the flower to finish off.  I found the feather amongst the scrap material so thought this looked great with the flower.  The stringed gems running around the edge of the frame I bought sometime ago from a local haberdashery store.  As you can see I took photo's of the frame both ways that it can stand to see which looked best but I think you'll agree it looks great either way so decided to show them both.

We do hope you'll join us for our latest challenge, we can't wait to see your flowery creations.

Hope everyone enjoys the remainder of their weekend, slap on that suncream and enjoy!!!

Hugs

Could you please let Paula know that my prize for tomorrows challenge is my clear stamp Samurai Boy and Rockability Couple. I can receive emails but can't answer Paula's email due to a technical problem. I've also left a similar message on the Pollycraft Challenge Blog so you may wish to delete it.

Many thanks
Wendy
