CYDA Challenge #29 ~ Pink, Brown & Blue

Well this is a few days late I'm afraid.  Our internet problems are still ongoing despite BT telling us it's now fixed each time which it is for a short time, but we've just had 2 days with no internet and an intermittent phone line, they say they can see the fault which is external, I think it's about time they again send out a physical engineer rather than dealing with it remotely.

Anyway, I want to say a massive thank you for all my birthday wishes, cards and gifts.  I had a fabulous party on Friday night, after nearly a year in the planning all seemed to go well and I think everyone enjoyed themselves, but boy did my legs aches on Saturday after all the dancing, but it was fun so thats the main thing.  Just waiting to see some photo's now as we forgot our camara, but luckily others took photo's.

So onto the Craft Your Days Away challenge this fortnight.....

Angel has chosen the challenge theme of...

PINK, BROWN & BLUE

I love this colour combo, and the DT and our GD have plenty of inspiration to show you over on the challenge blog.  Here's mine...

I've combined a popcorn bear stamp with one of Pollycraft's digital images for this baby boy card commisioned for a work colleague.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for our current challenge over at CYDA, we can't wait to see your creations with this fab colour combo.

CYDA Challenge #28

Good Morning All

Crikey we're in September all ready, where is the year going?  We seemed to of had the longest spring ever, will this month give us a short burst of summer.....hmmm wont hold my breath.  Off out later for a very late lunch with some work colleagues (once they finish at 3 o'clock, lucky me has the weekend off!!) to say goodbye to one of the girls who's starting her maternity leave.  I'm sure we will all have a good laugh, so I'm looking forward to that.

It's time for our next challenge over at Craft Your Days Away, and Cathy has chosen.......

MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWERS

I've used some of my own crocheted flowers, still very much a beginner on these but these aren't looking too bad.  The DT appear to have had fun with this one with lots of wonderful handmade flower creations to show you over on the challenge blog.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for this fortnights challenge!!

Enjoy your weekend...

CYDA Challenge #27 ~ Cupcakes

What a lovely day it's been here in East Yorkshire so far, just got back from a morning walking along the beach at Hornsea, then fish and chips for our lunch, which was lovely as long as you could keep away from all the ladybugs and wasps, thankfully once we got walking along the water's edge they didnt bother us so much, so eating your fish and chips whilst paddling is highly recommended...lol.  Unforunately the cloud seems to be building up now, but it was nice to get out in the pleasant weather.

Sorry my CYDA challenge post is late today I was half way to Hornsea when I realised I'd forgotten to do it...oooops!!!  Anyway here it is now....

Well our birthday challenge saw lots and lots of entries thank you to everyone who entered and all the wonderful birthday wishes for the challenge blog.  Well to kick off our 2nd year Gaynor has chosen our next challenge over at Craft Your Days Away....

CUPCAKES

A very yummy challenge theme indeed, and there is lots of mouthwatering inspiration for from the fabulous DT and GD, here's mine.....

Unfortunately the cupcakes weren't made by me...lol, but the fabby holder was, and I can tell you those cupcakes weren't in the holder more than 5 minutes once the piccies were taken.....lol.

Photobucket

....Is our sponsor for this challenge with a $10 voucher code to spend in their online store.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for this fortnights challenge we can't wait to see all the yummy creations!!

CYDA Challenge #26 ~ 1st Birthday Challenge

Oh my it's been some time since I last posted anything on my blog hasn't it.  I've not been feeling too well recently and in turn have had no mojo to craft, trying to work through it though so hopefully there wont be so many long gaps from now on.

Today we are celebrating our 1st Birthday over at Craft Your Days Away, I can't believe it's been a year since our launch, and what a fun journey our first year has been.  We had to say goodbye to a few wonderful DT buddies but we also welcomed some wonderful new teamies.  So our challenge for this fortnight is quite simply...

BIRTHDAYS

We want to see all things relating to birthdays for any age and anyone, general or special.

We have some amazing inspiration for you over on the challenge blog by three of our GD's and of course the wonderful DT.

It just so happens we are off to my brother-in-laws a bit later this morning to a BBQ and party for his birthday and our nephews 21st.  Yep thats why it's raining today and now I'm in doubt that I can wear my new maxi dress I'd bought especially...lol, still gonna camp there the night though!!  Anyway, so I had two male birthday cards to make for the occassion not good when you have a low mojo as male cards are always a struggle for me at the best of times, but I got there in the end and I don't think I did too bad considering, so here are the two cards which of course fit in with the CYDA Birthday Challenge....

I think our nephew will enjoy this image from Victoria Case!!

And this one is for my B-I-L, not too sure how much he enjoys golf but we've often seen him in a golf jumper, so I think Maurice from Pollycraft will do him nicely...lol.

Both images were coloured with Promakers.

We have FOUR prizes up for grabs for this special challenge, so we do hope you will join us in celebrating CYDA's 1st Birthday!!!

BoBunny - Gabrielle Collection 6 x 6 Paper Pad

Roses Selection

Three Packs of Card Candi

*****

Well I hope you all enjoy a lovely weekend!!

Take Care

Wish I could say it's a nice bright and sunny start like it should be this time a year, but here in East Yorkshire it's a dull dark start to the morning.  So a good excuse to stay in today and make a start on my birthday party invites for September....ohhh the big 4 - 0...lol.

Anyway today is the start of a new challenge over at Craft Your Days Away and this fortnight it's Shelley who has set the theme....

FANCY FOLDS

The DT have all had fun with this one and have provided lots of inspiration for you over on the challenge blog.  Here is mine.....

Well it's the first day of the month so that means it's time for a new montrhly challenge over at SFCC, this month it's all about...

SNOWMEN

....as chosen by Lesley.

We all love an adorabloe snowman or two in our Christmas crafts, I know I do.  You'll find lots of snowmen inspiration from the DT and here is mine....

I was running well behind on my DT stuff to get done before my holidays so I've just done a simple tag, coloured with promarkers, chalks and sakura stardust, it really does sparkle lovely but unfortunately the camara couldn't capture it.

Joanna Sheen is sponsoring this challenge with a £10 voucher for the winner to spend in her online store. We do hope you'll be able to join us for this months challenge.

Pollycraft Challenge #94 ~ Embellishment Bingo

Good Morning

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend, ours has been hectic trying to get ready for our holiday next weekend, just not enough hours in the day at the moment.  Anyway it's Monday and time for a new challenge over at Pollycraft Monday Challenges.

EMBELLISHMENT BINGO

A real fun challenge for you this week if you are not familiar with this kind of challenge (which I've got to admit I wasn't before now) there is a grid of embellishments all you need to do is choose a line that is either a diagonal, horizontal or vertical line, and then you will end up with three embellishments to use.  The DT have all had fun with this one and here is mine.....

I've used one of the gorgeous new images from Pollycraft this is 'Claudia Tutu', I've coloured her with watercolour pencils blended with sansador and promarkers on her dress.  This is a comissioned card for a work colleague.

This is the Embellishment Bingo Grid
I chose the line of Tag - Sparkle - Flowers

You can't see the sparkle very well on the piccy I'm afraid, but I added Sakura Stardust in Clear Star to Claudia's bow, dress detail and ballet pump straps, then also went over the sentiment writing with it too.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge, have fun!!!
