Not had a good start today, Steve went out this morning to do a bit of fishing then found the shed had been broken in to and ALL the fishing stuff was gone. Every single rod, reel, poles and our individual bags of tackle as well as the fishing umbrellas, chairs, trolley and nets. Thousands of pounds worth of stuff. They didn't touch any of the garden tools which are worth a bit themselves. We are totally gutted, though our home wasn't broken into, it still feels like it has been, someone has been onto our property and shamelessly taken things that do not belong to them. It's a hobby we enjoy doing together and a pastime that Steve partakes in a few times a week especially at weekends. The police are popping by tomorrow to collect a list off of all thats been taken, which is a job and half, and to take a look at the shed, and we've been told to leave everything as it is. We weren't expecting them to come out but due to the nature of the stuff that was taken it looks like a target theft rather than an opportunistic theft. We aren't overlooked so someone either knew that stuff was there or they just hit lucky with what they were looking for. We've been out this morning to the local Angling Shop we use to cost up some of the stuff for the list and then we need to ring the insurance company, at least we had shed cover on the insurance, but thats not the point. Anyway rant over!!
Made this card yesterday originally just for the Sketch Saturday challenge, but dopey me didn't read all the write-up and missed the pet theme, so I'm still going to enter it anyway as I've followed the sketch, but doing a challenge's search I've also found another 3 challenges that the card fits.
The challenges covered are....

Creative Card Crew - All That Sparkles
Bizzy Becs Creatalicious - Pink or plum with burgundy and green. And also add some lace, ribbon or fibre.

OMW... I am soo sorry that happened to you! Somebody once was stealing my mail and I felt so violated, I can imagine how you feel!
Hopefully the police find them and get your stuff back!
You do right to rant Joanne, I know how you feel. DH is a fisherman and all his stuff was stolen from our garage about 5 years ago. It was a target theft as well, they left everything else alone, never touched the mower or pressure washer etc. Thousands of pounds worth of gear gone. Insurance paid out but nowhere near what he had paid for it. Hope you have better luck, we never got any of it back.
Your card on a brighter note is lovely, great image and use of the colours.
Barbara
How awful for you people that steal make my blood boil, they do not seem to care about anyone and it is so upseting when it happens because you feel violated.
Your card is gorgeous even without pets lol, and love the image and colours you have used.
Thanks for joining us on saturday Sketchers.
