CYDA Challenge #37 ~ Distressing

Good Morning!!!

It's a bit breezy and chilly out there today, but gotta do the shopping today and other bits and bobs, get them out of the way then I can chill for the rest of the weekend and get some more crafting done.

It's time for a new challenge over at Craft Your Days Away and this time round the lovely Lesley has chosen the theme of....

Distressing

Ohhhh it normally pains me to get tearing my beloved papers, but this time round I got dug in to my scraps stash and it didn't feel quite so bad....lol.  So here is my card....

We are being sponsored this time round by another new sponsor to CYDA

I've used 'Gus Fishing' from Bugaboo Stamps, coloured with promarkers.  Distressing always tends to point me to a man's card for some reason and more often then not it's fishing themed too.

Please check out the fabulous creations from our two Bugaboo GD's and of course the awesome CYDA DT over on the challenge blog.  Hopefully you can also join us for this fortnights challenge where you could be our random winner of SEVEN Bugaboo images of your choice!!!

Well enjoy your weekend whatever your plans are and thank you for stopping by.

Altered Tub

Hiya all!!!

Poorly with a stinking cold at the moment, it's totally ruined all my plans for my extra few days off, isn't it just typical.

At least I've got some time to do a bit of crafting, and thats just what I've been doing this morning.  I've not altered anything for absolutely ages, but I've got about half a dozen empty tubs left over from Christmas and just couldn't bear to throw them away cos i just know they'll come in handy, so I got to work on one of them today.....

I'm entering this into the following challenges....

Pollycraft Monday Challenge - Anything But A Card

Sparkles Challenges - Anything But Christmas

Got a a card to put on too in a bit....woop woop look at me go...lol.

Thanks for stopping by.

CYDA Challenge #33 ~ Embellishment Bingo

Good Morning!!  Nowt to shout about with the weather here this morning, hoping for a bit of sun later, but at the moment it's dull and grey the same as it's been all week.  And to top it all my lappy has just died on me, so I'm quickly just borrowing Steve's.  Not gonna let it dampen my weekend off though.

It's time for a new challenge over at Craft Your Days Away and this fortnight we're gonna have some fun with Embellishment Bingo!!!

If your not familiar on how it works you will find full details on the challenge blog.

The DT and our GD have some wonderful inspiration to show you and here is mine...

I've used the line Pearls, Flowers & Ribbon on the bingo card.  I so love these Teddy Bo & Teddy Bea images, I will try and add a link when I can but as I'm not on my lappy I'll need to search for links.  I've coloured the image using promarkers.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for new challenge.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!!

CYDA Challenge #32 ~ Autumn

Good Morning All!!

Not quite sure what the weather is going to be like today it's looking ok out the back but rather dismal out the front, trying to see which way it's moving but it doesn't seem to be moving either way...lol.  At least on the good side I can see the beautiful autumnal colours on the trees, which is always pleasant to see.  Which leads me nicely onto our next challenge over at Craft Your Days Away, which was chosen this time by the lovely Shaz...

AUTUMN

My favourite season for colour, the start of cosy nights and hot chocolate...yummm!!

This HM stamp is just perfect for the season, wouldn't it be cute to really see little mice gliding down from the trees like these little fella's.  Though I'm not really a fan of the real things, especially so when Steve went to rescue one from the playful Felix the other day, which promptly made it's escape up Steve's leg on the inside of his jeans, it didn't bother Steve but if it had been me I'd of been running around the garden like a mad woman...lol.  But Steve calmly got the fella out and moved him to safety from the cat.  Anyway continuing with my card, I've coloured it with Promarkers, and the papers are from a selection of Prima scraps.

I've not entered any challenges for a long time, but I've been browsing through this morning and found some challenges to enter for a change...

House Mouse - Falling
Oldie But A Goodie - Forever Autumn
Crafty Creations - Leaves & Autumn Colour Pallette
Simon Says - Anything Goes
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
One Stop Craft - No Sentiment
Sweet Stampin - Anything Goes

We do hope you'll be able to join us for the challenge this fortnight.  Don't forget that the clocks 'fall' back an hour in the early hours of tomorrow, an extra hour in bed and darker evenings.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!!

CYDA Challenge #31 ~ Halloween Colours

Well another late post from me, all my fault this time, decided to muck about with my blog and well now wish I hadn't...lol.  Fingers crossed all is now back up and working and posting I hope.

The wonderful Mari hosts our lastest challenge over at Craft Your Days Away with the theme of..

HALLOWEEN COLOURS

You can follow a halloween theme or just use halloween colours such as Black, Orange, Green & Purple.

The fabulous DT have come up with some spooky and not so spooky creations to help inspire you and you can check them all out on the challenge blog.  Here's mine.....

I have to confess this is an old card, but one I don't believe I've blogged before as can't seem to find it posted.  I was awaiting a new memory thingy for the camara which hadn't arrived in time for the challenge, so not having a working camara was a bit of a problem, so I'm so pleased to of found this little cutie amongst my picture files.  The image I believe is from Doodle Palace.
A good thing is our internet and phone line are all now back in perfect working order, was a bit of a palava for the poor engineer and it took him a good few hours, but he was determined not to give in until all was sorted, what a star he was.

I hope you can join us for our current challenge which is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp with a $10 voucher code to spend in their online store.

Happy Crafting All!!!

CYDA Challenge #29 ~ Pink, Brown & Blue

Well this is a few days late I'm afraid.  Our internet problems are still ongoing despite BT telling us it's now fixed each time which it is for a short time, but we've just had 2 days with no internet and an intermittent phone line, they say they can see the fault which is external, I think it's about time they again send out a physical engineer rather than dealing with it remotely.

Anyway, I want to say a massive thank you for all my birthday wishes, cards and gifts.  I had a fabulous party on Friday night, after nearly a year in the planning all seemed to go well and I think everyone enjoyed themselves, but boy did my legs aches on Saturday after all the dancing, but it was fun so thats the main thing.  Just waiting to see some photo's now as we forgot our camara, but luckily others took photo's.

So onto the Craft Your Days Away challenge this fortnight.....

Angel has chosen the challenge theme of...

PINK, BROWN & BLUE

I love this colour combo, and the DT and our GD have plenty of inspiration to show you over on the challenge blog.  Here's mine...

I've combined a popcorn bear stamp with one of Pollycraft's digital images for this baby boy card commisioned for a work colleague.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for our current challenge over at CYDA, we can't wait to see your creations with this fab colour combo.

CYDA Challenge #28

Good Morning All

Crikey we're in September all ready, where is the year going?  We seemed to of had the longest spring ever, will this month give us a short burst of summer.....hmmm wont hold my breath.  Off out later for a very late lunch with some work colleagues (once they finish at 3 o'clock, lucky me has the weekend off!!) to say goodbye to one of the girls who's starting her maternity leave.  I'm sure we will all have a good laugh, so I'm looking forward to that.

It's time for our next challenge over at Craft Your Days Away, and Cathy has chosen.......

MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWERS

I've used some of my own crocheted flowers, still very much a beginner on these but these aren't looking too bad.  The DT appear to have had fun with this one with lots of wonderful handmade flower creations to show you over on the challenge blog.

We do hope you'll be able to join us for this fortnights challenge!!

Enjoy your weekend...

Hugs
