Sugar Sugar Project #1

The first tutorial and project over on Sugar Sugar is paper beads. Really enjoyed having a go at these, and they make fab embellishments.

As you can see I've not done a card. After making some altered diaries over Christmas, I suddenly realised I'd not got a diary for myself. So I bought this plain cheap desk diary yesterday, with plans to brighten it up myself. I've used the card I made the other day for Sketch Saturday as I really loved it and didn't want to give it away as a card..lol. I've altered it a little, giving it a bit of bling with some clear gems in the centres of the wooden flowers and some sakura stardust on Daisy. I've made the paper beads using the same paper as used on the corners and threaded onto blue organza ribbon then attached to the wider organza blue ribbon running through the binding. Added two flower buttons to the outer corners with some clear gems in the centre and used silver peel-offs for the wording. Below is a close up of the paper beads, I made two each of four different sizes.

What a fantastic idea jo-anne. I have a boring black diary this year might have to jazz it up a bit I think. Thanks for the inspiration.
Take care
