ATC Swappers Countryside - Encaustic Art

Well it's been a while since I've warmed up the iron and melted the waxes, so I thought this months theme 'Countryside' over on ATC Swappers was a good exscuse to have a play. This is the first time I've tried to create a scene other than fantasy, but I'm quite happy with the results.

It's also the first time I've used other media on top of the wax, The trees, fencing and flowers were hand drawn using copics and the sheep and my poor exscuse for a cow (in the last ATC) were drawn using sakura glaze pens. The first two ATC's are one scene, cut in half and are titled 'Ploughed Fields' and the last two ATC's are again one scene cut in half and are titled 'Hill View'. I'm really pleased with the 'Ploughed Fields' and these are my favourites, not so sure about the last two but I think they'll pass...lol.

There's still time to join in with this months swap, hop over to ATC Swappers, to find out more info on how to join and you can see all the wonderful swaps from the very first swap in January.

Right time to clean the iron and put it all away again then back to cardmaking I think.

WOWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE These look amazing - I think that the first two will have to go to the same person as it would be a shame to split them up.

Wow Joanne, you never cease to amaze me with the different styles you achieve. I think they are all brilliant, well done, if I was to try that all you would see is a blob.

Those are lovely. I've never tried to use wax before. Is it hard?

If I can do it anyone can do it Hannah. It takes a bit of practice, then you just let your imagination flow. These were slightly harder as I was trying to create a scene for the countryside.
You don't need to be good at art just a good imagination
